i love the fact that this also plays a foil to the actual "thesis" of pictomancer; where pictomancer's primary "theme" is about channeling one's joyous whimsy into strength and art, this video shows the other side of artistic creation in the unfaltering resolve to see an art piece completed "perfectly", no matter what it costs, even if the process is hell and there is nothing left of the artist by the end. and yet, even still, there is beauty in that perseverance, in that determination, in that indomitable human spirit to climb the mountain's peak. absolutely incredible. i look forward to seeing how you tear apart the other "impossible" trials later down the line.

I suppose SE never expected we'd used Silver Chocobo Feathers like this, but that does help a lot with the undergeared penalty. The blue level 90 weapon is a huge boost of damage.

If you can do this, the thing that everyone, including myself, thought would be impossible (though I still hoped to be wrong), I can power through my own difficulties. And it's not even just that you succeeded. If you'd failed here, no one would really blame you, if the conclusion came that it was impossible, well, some things just are. And that's okay. This is the most hype series of all time, I genuinely teared up as you landed the final blow. It's absolutely insane that you've come this far, and outrageous to think you'll go further. But you will. And once you finally reach that entirely insurmountable challenge, you can rest well knowing that you did the impossible, then did it again, and again, and again. And I'll be glad to have seen you do it.

Pretty cool! I remember seeing the article some game journo wrote about ya doing this. I still say Crystal Tower raids were a bigger hurdle, because you had to invoke the multiple ironman rules, but I'm sure the grind you did here felt way more insane. On another note, towards the start, you mentioned having to solo Rathalos. As I was the first person to solo the extreme version of that, I can safely say it doesn't require as much thought as the trickery with Susano's phase lock-in, so you should be fine!

@@rathgames Yeah, not sure how the stat squish affected it, but I originally did it on Samurai in i480 gear back in early 2020 whenever Eden's 2nd raid tier came out. It has some caveats where a faster GCD helps you out in beating it a lot, so maybe you can do that one on Viper :)

The Impossible Solo Boss, Defeated Solo anyways because screw the rules, Solo Walks his own path and nobody else's! By the power of pure, raw, determination, Solo walks on ever forward, towards his next destination. For the Impossible _is_ possible, and Solo aims to prove it.

8:22 btw, The idea behind war crimes isn't "these only apply during war" but rather, "these things are still crimes even when at war," since there are some things (e.g. the act of killing people) that would normally be a crime in most/all places, but are sort of just the basis of how war works. So, at least on paper, something can still be a war crime even if it occurs outside the context of a war.

This may be late to the party, and or information you already know but in case you don't know it - when you got the part about planting shards in your garden plot at the house and harvesting grade 3 shroud soil 1 by 1 - there is another way. With poetics you can got to Idylshire and into Rowena's House to the middle vendor. In the special arms submenu you can buy "Unidentified Shells" and then take those shells to the vendor on the right (next to the middle vendor) and trade the shells in their special arms submenu for Grade 3 Shroud soil. With 2k poetics you can buy about 13 soils each time. It's not a ton but its better than hitting the node 1 by 1 for hours on end and something to spend your poetics on. Hope this is helpful!
