They are susceptible to the dripping lava damage? I know they die if dropped into lava.

@@Endrian I just double checked it, in case they changed it in the latest update. Result: one dead rock dog and one dead spelunker. Dripping lava still has all the same effects as the regular one, however you might see a Magmar dropping on you from above and think it's a lava drip. Magmars indeed can't harm you at all by contact if you ride the rock dog. Edit: unless they hit a dead body, and it gets flung into you. That will hurt, and it can happen repeatedly, causing you to lose 10-15 health in a jiffy

For NL, just a little hidden tip without spoilers: There is a hidden shop in 1-4, but requires a particular thing to be done in a previous level to be given to activate the secret shop. What is it? You gotta go there to be given a hint about it. Yet another pogged run, these are honestly a great way to spend the early day watching. Thank you for or such blessed runs!

NL, one little challenge to give you an excuse to get back to the temple: you can get 99 life by bombing a mummy's path and using a rope to be slightly under floor level. Its vomit will give you infinite blood. Will this help you? Maybe not but it will be fun. Thanks for the pog content!

Kay NL, episode 69, perfect time to teach you how to use a bomb The bomb have an explosion radius of 1.5 blocks, not 2 as commonly believed If you placed it right next to a block then it will destroy 2 blocks in that direction and 1 in the other. You can see this demonstrated when you place a bomb with tiles right above, it will blows up 2 blocks down and 1 block up. Same can be apply for left and right, if the bomb is on the left side of the block then it'll destroy 2 blocks to the left, 1 to the right, vise versa

I'm not trying to say you're wrong, but I wonder how is it possible then to blow up a 5 wide hole if you place the bomb correctly? Pretty sure that implies that the radius is the same in all direction just the exact positioning of the bomb is what changes it

@@Rogther yes you can blow up a 5 wide hole, the explosion it self is 1.5 blocks away from the bomb 1 block where the bomb is on top of 2 blocks each side cuz it destroy half the second block and the game count that as a full block Did that make sense?

You can save ankh on lava floor. Stick bomb to some body (for example, dead monty) and throw it to the lava. With little lucky, bomb will also blow up TNT under the lava

NL, just a recommendation, find waddler in the ice caves and leave excalibur with him as well as the bow. You can pick up the excalibur in the sunken city, it will make the sun challenge a lot easier. And of course as usual you will have the bow there as well. You dont really need the excalibur in neo Babylon anyway.

Egg I will give you some advice now. Do the stars challange, take the clone gun you dont need excalibur. At Tiamat shoot ropes up till the laser. Then, you need like 6 ropes or so (less if you have jetpack). On the sunken city after the sun challenge, a bag full of ropes and bomb appears, on that floor the waddler will appear too. Take the clone gun and clone the crap out of the bag

Beyond the parachute, the specs and and skeleton key are good buys for the discount. Specs make dark levels easier, and if you go to Volcana the drill consumes the Udjat Eye, so specs make it so you can still see inside the walls. Skeleton key is nice for Van Helsing and just general treasure, plus they're both only 3k which is only 2 gold piles so it's worth it imo.

One thing I've always liked about Volcana over Jungle: If I miss the Udjat Eye, I can still get to Vlad's Castle, more times than naught. You can get lucky finding the Black Market without the Eye, but it is so much harder. With compass or just seeing the ground keep going at the "bottom" level, you can bomb your way down. Also sometimes worth doing even if you have the Eye, if the drill is placed horribly.

Pro Tip (not really): *Don't* prioritize the ghost pot in Volcana... It's already unpredictable enough. If it suddenly breaks, good luck rushing to the exit. And please, leave the bow with Waddler as *soon* as you get to the Olmec fight, so you don't randomly lose it during the fight.

NL there is no need to get the ghost pot in Volcana. Your brain is in minmax mode from going to the Jungle and saving for the black market, but that strat is unnecessary (and dangerous) in volcana. I say this as a greedy minmaxer myself, but the passive income from playing through Volcana levels will almost always be enough to buy anything you might need from future shops. TLDR: If you ever wonder if getting that extra cash in Volcana is worth it, it isn’t.

This run made me realize: I don't know what 90 percent of the items actually do in this game. I understand the spike shoes, Cape, and jet pack items, but all that other stuff in the shops and from Kali? No earthly idea.

Udjat Eye: see buried stuff and locator for black market; can be given up to activate drill in volcania. Glasses: see buried stuff and improve vision in dark areas. Kapala: gain health by catching blood. Bounce Boots: increase jump height by one tile, allow walking on spiky vegetation. Paste: makes bombs stick. teleporter/teleport pack: causes the player to suicide in hilarious ways. power pack: increases bomb radius, makes whip flame There are more, but that's off the top of my head.
