Last year when I had the opportunity to do Game Lab, I couldn't wait to get my hands on a Five Nights game and recreate it IRL! For this episode, I got together with some of my KZbin friends and SCARED the heck out of them for a whole day at my own haunted pizzeria. Some of them...didn't survive so well. I'd like to point out the two _other_ stress reactions you've forgotten. What we know as "Fight or Flight" is actually Fight, Flight, Freeze, and Fawn. All of those are known as Acute Stress Reactions, but I noticed _a lot_ of freeze responses. Particularly with Trish and her inability to opperate her flashlight (8:29) when facing her rapidly impending doom. Vernon was definitely flight and he tried in vain to escape the animatronics when the door didn't close them out. Rob was clearly fight as he defiantly sabotaged himself to face his doom directly. And finally MatPat apeared to be a mixture of both flight and freeze, yes you can experience a mixture of responses, since he both tried to flee then froze as he curled into his safe space. All of this was interesting to rewatch again, especially given new context to apply to the video. 🤔

Rob could also be fawn, letting the inescapable doom win and giving in somewhat. They wanted to "kill" him, and he let it. Though I understand fight being as he was able to take the choice into his own hands, and "fight" so they didn't truly win

AKing0401 that sounds reasonable. Especially if the doors were actually made of metal or steel like they presumably are in the game, which would make it a bit more difficult to just break down to escape or for a rescue team to come in and break it down for you. You know what? It’s probably a fire safety hazard if they did stay down, since we don’t see any outside-facing windows in any security room, no matter the game (excluding Fnaf 4, but that’s just some kid’s bedroom, not an office). It also might explain some other things: • The reason there’s two doors and not just one - two exits are typically needed to pass fire safety inspections. Maybe the reason it’s all sorta wonky in terms of designing it is that they added the office at a later date, and couldn’t find another logically reasonable spot to put it (construction and building design Is pretty complicated. I’m no expert, so I don’t really know that part, but anything from not having enough space to expand the building to just simple laziness or cost reduction can be factors in this). • The reason there’s one big gaping door in Fnaf 2 - I mean, it technically just makes the guard room an extension of the hallway, which has multiple exits, so it’s probably just the owners trying to get around rules and such. Also, the bigger the door, the less likely it’ll be blocked. That’s about all I’ve got honestly. Fnaf 3 if I remember correctly had two exits on opposite sides of the building and no windows, but that could just be design choice as it * is* a horror attraction. Sister location doesn’t really follow any sorts of safety codes. I mean, look at the place. Plus, it’s practically run by an evil child murderer who has a weird obsession with talking furry robots and spirit metal, I’m pretty sure no health or safety inspectors have been anywhere near it in the last decade, so no surprise there’s only an elevator and no stairs. So the answer is simple: The reason there’s some questionable design choices? Fire safety. Like that matters in a pizzeria filled with at least a few deadly animatronics roaming around at night that gives it’s night guards weird hours and practically no pay. Sorry for the rant ^^' Edit: minor spelling errors and to clarify: in the first bullet point I’m talking about the Fnaf 1 location.

In a real life situation, the cams are pretty much useless. Just shine your flashlight at the doors from time to time and close them when they get close. They can't slip past the lights like Freddy can in fnaf 1.

If I may answer the question Mat had, the biggest fear is death. Knowing your going to die, in most likely a bad way is scary. No one wants to die by getting their head chomped or being stuffed into a robotic suit and being basically a zombie, that would be horrible. Hope that answered ur question.

Quick Tip for future creators that will experience something like this: 1. If something or someone moved DO NOT PANIC, if you panic you would check the cameras none stop, and you would waste a bunch of power. 2. Don‘t stay to active on cameras, when staying on cameras you will concentrate on the monitor and everything else near you.. Well you can’t see it also Camera takes a HUGE portion of power to. As I said before 3. ALWAYS check the doors make sure to always check the doors, and listen for sounds, your eyes will not and will never waste your power use your eyes and ears. 4. As the phone guy said you can roam around, and use that as your camera, sure they will catch you much more easily, but it is better then running out of power and you can’t see anything, use your ability to roam, to check your near by areas.

Here are six tips to increase your chance of survival. 1. Kick your chair away, and stand up at all times, crouching down. Keep your right hand on the mouse to switch through cameras, and always keep your left arm extended out at all times, so that you always have an arm available. Taking even one, or two seconds to stand up to close the doors could mean life, or death. 2. Never check any other of the cameras except for the ones facing the doors. That way, you don’t waste any time not looking at the most important areas. Since there’s only one round of this game, and it only lasts for an hour, learning the animatronic’s patterns has greatly lost its value, especially since there are no do-overs. 3. Turn off your desk lamp, and use your flashlight. Since flashlights have batteries for several hours, and do not affect your power percentage, turning on your desk lamp is a crippling factor. 4. When a key camera (Either one facing the doors) goes offline, immediately shut the door the camera is supposed to be watching, so that you don’t have a blind spot. 5. If you find yourself panicking, shut down both doors for no more than 15 seconds, and calm yourself quickly when you know that you’re safe. In that last 5 seconds, thoroughly check the cameras to make sure that an animatronic didn’t sneak up behind one while you were calming yourself. 6. Take heavy breathers, and mentally prepare yourself before you go in, and memorize all of these factors. Reassure yourself constantly with quick, and easy to remember sentences whenever you feel anxiety. Make sure that these sentences are grounded in truth, and not meaningless to help your situation like, “It’ll be okay,” or “I’m fine.” “Anxiety only hurts.” “This is a game of logic. I can solve this.”
