I am quite mystified with this man as he does not seem to offer much despite his knowledge and expertise. And also raises basic and common sense question if people involved in solving Kashmir problem are really concerned about it from professional point of view of not from humane point of view. I am overwhelmed by the lack of application of problem solving approach. I can list some - do we know the problem all versions- mainland India, it's different political parties, people of Kashmir, actors of Kashmir, local compulsions. A very specific questions and responses from all involved and make a sense. Get this cross checked by many accounts and establish an action plan and communicate. Drum up the support and publicise the stand and review it. A detailed plan can be made.

purely from the Indian statecraft, we want the Kashmiris to think more as Indian n less abt so called Azadi non sense. And that we want more from Kashmiris Sunni muslims, coz shia, Sikhs, Buddist, Hindus don't have issues aligning with India. Kahsmir is such a complex state. The book is a wonderful read and is an ocean of information on Kashmir problem. Reading it makes us realize how disconnected we are with Kashmir problem. AB Vajpayee ji was the one who really decoded the complex state and hence was able to have a birds view to how the solution should be.

I think Mr Daulat's perspective on Kashmir is mired by petty thoughts and issues. Post 370 another perspective has been presented which is more humane and more practical for the prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir. The narrative presented to India and World prior to 370 revolved around only two families and separatist which was not only wrong but also selfish and denying the locals the future for their coming generations. I think Mr Daulat must be interviewed or rather probed again to pick up the wrongs being done by the then politicians..Anrunab Gowasmi is the ideal candidate 😉
