I plan on taking 4 leave days or even less depending on the duty station just to go home, get my PC, personal momentos and most importantly MY TRUCK. Can’t be going somewhere without a vehicle.
@Kitzishot3 жыл бұрын
I had saved up a total of 110 days altogether. I took 20 days just before the 90 day ETS transition and then 90 days terminal. This was back in 1995 - 1996 and you were allowed to accrue a total of a 120 days if you served during the Gulf War. There were a lot of questions being asked on how a soldier with a four year enlistment was allowed to accrue that many days without anybody noticing. I was like, "Well, I asked to take two weeks for when my wife had our baby and that was denied. I asked to take two weeks when my Mom visited me in Germany and that was denied. My Platoon Sergeant denied my leave every single time I asked even though we weren't going out to the field or anything. So, ask him. Ask him why he didn't allow me to take leave after my wife had a C section? I would like to know too."

I was a hold over at ait for only 2-3 days before I was shipped to my unit(Carson). The people going to Korea/Germany where on schedule to be there for at least a month before they shipped.

I'm hoping it's in America cause that's where he lives (I'm in australia) so we can meet during Christmas but I dont know if I can see him at the town/city he gets stationed at in america. Hes infantry.

so if we decide to leave for the block leave… can we choose to leave for less than 2 weeks? cause i’d only want to leave for a couple days then go back so i’m not in the negatives. my moms bday is on christmas so
@StaySassyStyles4 жыл бұрын
I would def save up leave time like you said. I'd rather stay in the mentality. I've worked too hard to get in so I wouldn't try to get time off right away. Eventually I'd take 2 weeks to visit fam, friends and travel w/o going in to the negative but I'd hold off for as long as possible.

My boyfriend went through boot camp and AIT (army infantry) He was under the impression that he could request leave after graduation, but was sent to his duty station right after graduation. Chances of him being able to request leave now that he is checking in? Or is it more likely he will have to wait till Christmas?

Do they make you quarantine after ait? Me and my husband are trying to plan our move but they’re telling him they might make him quarantine and report to his unit without getting me or moving our stuff
@illwillscuts3 жыл бұрын
I’ve been told it depends on your duty station so for example right now if your duty station is Hawaii they require you to quarantine 2 weeks upon arrival , and most married soldiers with family are given a grace period to go home and help get affairs in order (if granted leave and you don’t have any you will go in the hole and have to earn the leave days back that you use until you are back positive) now every situation is different but this is what I’ve seen and am currently experiencing myself hope this helps!

I need a little help! Me and my fiance want to get married AS SOON as he gets out of OSUT. If it's possible we want to finalize our marriage after BCT, but with COVID we aren't going to count on it. Therefore, if we get married after he comes home from OSUT will that give me enough time to get myself put on his orders before his first duty station? I am already enrolled into DEERS as a dependent under my father, so would that make the process any faster for me?
