Hell no, I'm trying to pass. The idea of fucking around and getting recycled and having to test during whiskey is enough to police myself.

I was allowed to drink in AIT. I was 22. I was allowed to drink on weekend pass. I had to be sober by the time I reported back to post. I went to AIT in 2007.

At Fort Sill 13B AIT, you can't wear civilians, and no phase 5+, mainly because our AIT is only 6 weeks long.
@Cuppamoments3 жыл бұрын
At my AIT, it was same as basic training. No day pass, no phones, no personal clothes. It was the longest 22 weeks at fort bennin. On our down time, they just told us to stare at the wall lol.

@@Agustin-ce5is it’s a mental game, just play the game and don’t lose it mentally. Time will fly by as long as your focused on your training. It’s more about whether your mentally capable of dealing with it rather than physical. We started off with 230 people and only 130 of us graduated. Why? Because most were weak hearted and wanted to go home to their girlfriend or their momma. Just don’t be mentally weak and you’ll be fine. They work with you if they see you putting in effort.

@@Agustin-ce5is if your 11b, most likely your only gonna get your phones for 30 mins a week for the rest of the cycle, but it’s okay because by week 8 you’ll be used to it that you won’t even care honestly.

Ben, what is the difference between OSUT and AIT? I was told by a 91B that OSUT is just like BCT but extended, no weekend freedom, no cellphones, no personal belongings. nothing. And AIT is like a militarized college dorm environment
@arivandiver7580 Жыл бұрын
I know it's been two years, *but* OSUT is One Station Unit Training -- basically, your Basic and AIT is rolled all into one duty station and unit. For some MOS', this is an option, and it lets you do both your basic and AIT with the same group of people the entire time

Total bullshit like this is why I hated AIT in a lot of ways more than basic training. Obviously in basic training it was like prison but in AIT it was like we were in a halfway house for prison parolees but at the same time we were also mindless little children. I won't forget my platoon having to stand in a long formation out on the basketball court and having our time interrupted because one dude actually got caught with candy wrapper. I'm like "seriously?" Or seeing a platoon get smoked because one guy had his cellphone. Or the whole company having our time out of class being interrupted and having to go in a formation because two girls in a different platoon than I was in were seen on camera on the female floor pushing and shoving one another. Also won't forget wishing I had joined the Navy or Airforce when we had to stand in long lasting formations after classes and wait for our platoon sergeants to come get us when they were ready, meanwhile the Navy and Air Force trainees were allowed to march without their NCOs immediately when they were done. Im sure they had their share of nonsense too being that they still were initial entry trainees in the military but apparently they still were not treated quite as ridiculous as we Army trainees were. I'm looking to change my mos when my reenlistment window opens in about five months and if I do so I will be so glad I will be a MOS T and not an initial entry trainee at AIT. I honestly have fonder memories of basic than I do AIT. Really fuck that time.

I need to know if I you get recycled at 88MIKE AIT, for failing a test or something, and you continue to fail, is it possible for you to stay there over a year because of that? Or would they send you home. If that is possible I do not want to become that person.

No they don't "pay off" student loans they forgive federal student loans which is within the power of the US federal government however you have to speak to your recruiter to have the incentive of student loan forgiveness which takes up one of two incentives that you would have access too
