I'll have about 9 sticks of sugarcane growing in my backyard. Though, it is hard labor and takes about 10-12 months for sugarcane to mature, but the knowledge gained from it lasts for a lifetime... I'm searching for the "manufacturer's" process which involves a chemical reaction to segregate the molasses and centrifugal force to separate the molasses from the sucrose done at home but I came across your video. Very informative nonetheless

You can buy a simple hand crank cane press that will crush the cane and extract the juice right into a bowl or pitcher. Way faster and easier than using a blender. When I lived in Ecuador I used to buy fresh cane juice on the streets. It was delicious. You can do the same yourself then boil it down.

My father worked at a sugar plant in Sydney Australia. He was the carpenter. He made the wooden stirring spades. These were as big as boat ores. They wore away fast. Apparently there is a lot of that wood in the brown sugar. lol. My uncle worked as an engineer on one of the sugar boats bringing the sugar down from Queensland. They put molasses on the anchor chain and that attracted so many fish that they regularly filled a fridge with fresh fish.
