Hello and good morning to all! I would suggest that since your the only KZbinr with a new XPS laptop you should take advantage of that and share more content about it at least 2 videos a day, if you can please do a battery drainage test thanks.

I've made videos on my phone and a $700 laptop. Yes you can use anything for your only editing computer. Just a matter if you need stuff done in an hour vs having several hours if necessary. Unless you put out more than 3 videos a week, doesn't really matter.

Great video! Unsolicited thoughts lol, love the XPS 17! I have last year's model (i7, 32gb RAM) and it's been phenomenal. Definitely experienced battery drain before while playing Forza on max everything, and once playing SimCity (go figure, lol). I just ordered a 2021 XPS15 because I don't need a 17" anymore which is pretty heavy imo, but they're great machines to edit and design on. I'm curious how fast it would have rendered if you set the battery to performance and set Dell Power Manager to Ultra Performance.

Hi. Thanks for your informative videos. I have one suggestion and question at the same time. Can you make a video like this one, where you testing laptops as a video editing machine but with real project, where you have a bunch of clips on the timeline, with some color correction, music and audio tracks etc? Everyone is testing laptops with just a few clips but it's far from real life scenario.

Hey, great Video, thank you! For productivity, gaming and streaming (so for allround-stuff) would you prefer the blade14 with the 3070 or the xps15 with i9 and the 3050ti (at 35W?!)?
@mariozamora96843 жыл бұрын
Depends on the type of gaming. If you play casual gaming RTS, etc. Then the XPS is a better choice. Buying a gaming laptop for productivity does not makes sense if you do not have battery life, and portability.
@shuff11523 жыл бұрын
@@mariozamora9684 Thank you for your thoughts. I'm playing Games like Apex (for fun, so no need for 2xxfps) and Cyberpunk and stuff - so some heavy games. And i think the 3050ti with 35W would be a big downside. The Blade14 is portable and has ok battery life.

With your config, it wouldn't drain power. But with the RTX 3060, the combined 135W+ power and the 130W power adapter, would definitely drain the battery or the performance is reduced. So the RTX 3050 is the best choice and they should've included a better power adapter for the higher end specs.

I heard that the high spec models will power throttle the GPU and/or CPU when both are maxing out, so you do not ever get the full performance when you pay the very high prices. I assume Dell does this to avoid the battery running down when plugged in. So possibly still struggling with Intel’s hardware (efficiency)? I am still of the opinion that Intel is a poor choice until they sort out their efficiency. The M1X Macs in a few months will be worth waiting for IMHO?
