If she’s someone that he knew before me, then that’s fine. If she’s someone that he met after me, I will be joining for dinner.

I get if it’s a big group of say work colleges I get it as I’m friends with many genders, ages and many are single, in long term relationships.

I agree with Olivia, women that don't care are in denial or they are really suffering in their relationship and they don't know it until their partner cheats on them. Thank you for rare a gem by being honest about this topic Olivia.

No totally not okay - and so disrespectful to your partner too. Dump him and then he can play the field as much as he likes and you can get yourself someone who is LOYAL!

I have many other gay male friends I wouldn’t sleep with or have an affair with. I think it’s insecurities on the part of the partner. And that your partner isn’t making you feel like you can trust them.

I feel there’s an underlying rudeness / passive aggressiveness from Coleen in particular towards Olivia?

And Brenda pulling faces the whole time she was talking. What is that about?

@taylormartin6778 Coleen's cheated and been cheated on and Brenda's been cheated on, so they're hardly experts on what it takes to maintain monogamy...

@@lavienestpasunlongfleuvetr2559what a strange comment. If a husband cheats it’s not because his wife was “unable to maintain monogamy” 🙄

I actually agree with Olivia here. I would never put myself in that scenario and I'd expect my SO to do the same

This is what’s wrong with this generation lately, a man and woman can’t be friends without it being sexualised, I have a lot of male friends and fallen out with women friends because of this and their lack of trust in their partner it’s not my issue it’s the other party’s issue, I’ve always been respectful to my male friends and their partners but If I’m not friends with the female but friends with the male I’m not gonna hang out with her am I? I think it’s the lack of trust in this generation that men and women can’t be friends.

Depends if you know her too, if she didn’t want to be my friend too then it would be a bit weird. So if all of a sudden he gets a new female friend and doesn’t introduce her to me then I’d be like hmmm

I think I might be in the minority but I disagree with Olivia here. There are many couples who isolate themselves off from other friends and family members when they get into a relationship. However, I feel like this only makes people more vulnerable to depression or other relationship issues. People need to remember that relationships mean two lives come together, that includes parents, siblings and friends. If you're insecure that going out with someone is a risk of cheating, then what you need to do is not "minimize the risk of cheating" what you need to do is get some therapy for your own insecurities. If you can't be comfortable with the prospect of losing this person, or you have found that your entire life is wound up around them. It means that you are in a very unhealthy situation and the end result will be extremely painful when the relationship eventually ends (by death, divorce or so on).
@mjl2904 Жыл бұрын
The first lady (not sure of her name) talking about minimising the risk of cheating sounds like work. A healthy relationship shouldn’t be work, if you vetted the person effectively before getting into a relationship, trust your partner and communicate, what’s the issue?
@lavienestpasunlongfleuvetr2559 Жыл бұрын
It's very naive of you to think that maintaining a healthy relationship doesn't take work/effort, especially over the course of several decades, no matter how well-suited to eachother the parties involved are. When you've been married for 50 years, then come back and say you found it a piece of cake. It's also interesting that 2 of the women who feel it unnecessary to put firm boundaries between themselves and people other than their partner have spoken about being cheated on and/or cheating themselves, so they're hardly experts on maintaining monogamy, lol.

@lavienestpasunlongfleuvetr2559 Жыл бұрын
Oh, don't be so naive. Most people are capable of affairs. People taking steps to avoid cheating is a sign of maturity, not weakness or moral inferiority, as you seem to be suggesting.
