A PP with Coffey, R Borque, Gretzky, Messier, M Lemieux... Jeez, that's just frightening.

Takes me back to old time hockey! the good days! love the theme music in the intro too! haha i miss all this!

+DocSpratley33 I don´t miss Canadas continuous hooking ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Look at this game...count everytime a canadian player puts his stick in the belly of a swedish player, and they got away with it. Talk about one eye referee.

Nope, not old time hockey.By 87 modern hockey was already introduced to NHL via numerous of excellent Swedish, Finish, Cechs and a few Soviets players in the late 70s and onwards. Goons like Hull,Esposito was outdated,as where their Jurassic Parc hockey.....

Before the game Swedish goaltende Pekka Lindmark told his team mates to focus on everyone but Gretzky, when Gretzky has the puck, "I'll take care of him". After 1-0 he skated over to bench and said "Well, get him too!"

:-D that’s Pekka alright! He is known for saying ”training is for people without talent…”.

that shot was incredible the angle the lack of room the fact that the only possible way to score was to put the puck where he put it

the Canadians knew that if they lost, the judges would help them, because the judges were theirs. As it turned out with the USSR national team in the third game

Yes-Jorgen-in this game Canada outhooks and outholds Sweden AND..outhustles, outpasses, outshoots, outgoldtends, outstickhandles, ..outforechecks Sweden. What is your point? In 1994 you guys did that to us in Olympics. Good for you. Stop whining.

+BillyBoysing Gretzky at his best. Walked through the whole team and set up Lemieux for tap-in. Little known fact is that BA Gustafson should have been an Oiler. Oilers signed him in 78/79 when they were in the WHA but the NHL wouldn't let him stay on Oilers when they joined NHL.. Imagine Gretzky Messier and Gustafsson at center? Nice to see Naslund get the biggest cheers of the night from Montreal fans. Classy.
@Billy-Box8 жыл бұрын
I agree that Gustafsson was very good, even though I kept Kenta Nilsson a bit higher.
