Canada geese are pretty cool. If you ever watch a flock in the park feeding you'll notice that there's always a couple on watch. And they switch out without any sound or signal. If these geese join a flock their offspring will become a part of a creche and there will always be help protecting and caring for them.

Guess I’ve been lucky- probably because they see me as a food source-cracked corn. Before mating season I had what I referred to as my work pets. We had one pair mate and build nest next to office behind the scrub’s. We put out food/water bowl for her. She would let me get close enough to toss feed near her so she didn’t need to get up that much. This morning when I got to work I checked on her and she stood up to reveal chicks. It was a very special moment. Although papa came quickly waddling and hissing- he has never attempted to harm me. Just being a good papa. Amazing experience! Named the first chick scrambled!
