Canada: The country to take a go a Vimy and succeed. The first country to come to her Majesties aid when she was threatened with Nazi invasion. The country to look to its neighbours; the Americans and the British, and say, we'll land and liberate this beach in Normandy. While the rest of the world collectively held its breath. The country to break from the invasion of Germany to liberate the Netherlands from Nazi rule. The country that volunteered to defend South Korea from Communism. The country that said no to the ethnic cleasing in Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The country that stood up to Sadam Hussien's invasion of Kuwait, The country that continues to provide stability and peacekeeping to the Middle East. Dear Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Fund our military. Spend the 2% GDP to better equip our armed forces for the tasks requested of them. And for god sakes prioritize care for our veterans and their needs; especially before we start giving handouts to illegal immigrants.

My 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter had to fight for their freedom with pride remembering their great grand father' sacrifice while in the mean time our new army guys were serving the inacceptable Trudeau's dictatorship !!! Our kids shouldn't have to fight their own Army never nerves and never!!!

I'm only 26 minutes into this programme , and find it very moving, particularly the sound of the Pipes. I'm thinking of Ab Dennis from North Bay, Lancaster rear gunner stationed at Middleton St George, who came on my DC9 jump seat to Heathrow years ago, after a memorial ceremony at Croft, I'm thinking of my Dad who was a stretcher bearer from Dunkerque, North Africa, Salerno, Anzio, and the Gothic Line, and of Vimy Ridge, and of Normandie, Caen, and Dieppe. We needed your help then, and we need your help NOW. A data company in Vancouver, located above a Chemists shop, is alleged to have used data obtained illegally, to interfere in the 2016 UK referendum on leaving the EU, or not. The extent of their part in this "interference" is being delayed, because of "jurisdiction ", which is understandable, but this affects everyone who values openness and honesty. Can I ask you to put pressure on your leaders to provide speedy cooperation in this regard, as the outcome is vital to the future of the U.K. Thank you . Pour les Canadiens qui parlent Français , excusez moi, parce que je parle pas bien le Français. Voilà .

We condemn those that resist war and honor those that facilitate it, maybe we've got something wrong.

lostinthefogofwar How exactly did you glean that message from this ceremony?

@@thenobleandmightybeaver4411 ceremonies have nothing to do with forming my opinions, my statement is based on history. Perhaps the beaver should be less noble and mighty, and work on on being better educated.

lostinthefogofwar If you wish to make political statements about the atrocities of war perhaps find a more applicable venue. As a member of the CAF and one of the personnel on that parade, I can assure you no one abhors war more than the soldiers, sailors and airmen who have to do the fighting and the dying. Perhaps if you bothered to watch the ceremony, listen to the words spoken you would have realized that Remembrance Day is above all a call to peace through the recognition that the price of war is completely and totally devastating for those individuals we ask to enact our political will abroad.

@@thenobleandmightybeaver4411 it's totally devastating for those individuals that you go abroad to kill. You blame the politicians, but it was you that agreed to go there and kill people that have done nothing to you. I will use any venue I like to speak out against war, sorry if it hurts your feelings.

lostinthefogofwar Peace. It may be more productive for you to get off KZbin throwing shade at soldiers and do the hard and inglorious work of protest and policy change. Good luck.

We need to finally take the independence our country needs and deserves. In honour of the veterans who risked it all. Dominion of Canada no more? Sheep nq more? We need to wake up and take back as well as protect this Country. I don't care what that guy in Ottawa says, we do have core values, we have a culture and we never have, will never will pander to Islam. Freedom is not passed down in our blood. God bless Canada. Lord may our veterans rest easy and let us always remember them for their sacrifice. Amen
