How come no one told us about the Canadian Kit Kat bar?? In previous seasons, we had issues getting back into the States due to accidentally smuggling oranges. This time, our entire rig might be full of Canadian Kit Kat bars 😍 That isn't the only Canadian delicacy we tried. We also had the Donair, which is a lot like a gyro, but with a sweet secret sauce and sauteed onions and tomatoes. But this episode isn't all about food... Nova Scotia has many other secrets with it comes to its diverse landscape and historical sites. We took a guided canoeing trip down the Mersey River inside Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site before making our way around the southern region of Nova Scotia to meet friends. We then drove through the area that was affected by the fires on our way to Halifax. We stayed at Kings Neptune Campground located along the water and just a few minutes from Peggy's Cove, another must-stop during your travels through The Maritimes.

Keji is incredible for hiking, camping and canoeing and, due to it's location, it's very quiet and calm. The night sky preserve as well is an incredible site and for people who spend the majority of their life in the city - it's a humbling reminder of what the true night sky looks like.

I love how you’ve fully immersed yourselves in Canada, and converted your google maps to Km. You are truly trained, professional, travellers. It’s fun to see you enjoying a part of our country that anyone who’s ever been, loves. Maritimers are magical people who exude friendliness. I was once caught drinking a beer on the Halifax boardwalk by a policeman and he said “finish it quickly and don’t open another one. Because it’s Kieth’s (a maritime beer) I’ll be back in half an hour and I don’t expect any evidence of drinking here to be left. Have a good day!”

Nova Scotia has a lot to offer. Keji is one of my favourite places to go camping (there are lots of other great campgrounds around the province too) and the downtown of Halifax is a vibrant and entertaining place to visit. Glad you had a good time.

Just found your KZbin page tonight and was happy to see you exploring around NS! My home is only minutes from Peggys Cove, glad you could explore it before the flooding we just experienced. The road on either side of Peggys Cove leading to Tantallon or Halifax was badly damaged & fully closed on the Halifax side.

King neptune cg is one of the best small cg I’ve been to, it’s feels like you’re in a little fisherman’s cove and next door a 3mins walk you can get fresh lobster when in season. Love the place! And if you’re planning to go the St. John New Brunswick Century farm cg is another great place, super clean right next to the ocean. Safe travels.

One of the things I miss about home is the fog. I enjoy a good donair but deep fried clams are my favourite Maritime food and I won't forget Dulse (dried seaweed). Very enjoyable episode made me homesick. There are also artifacts (deck chair) from the Titanic at the Martime museum down on the Boardwalk. Halifax along with the other ports in Atantic Canada (Saint John. N.B., and St. Johns NFLD)have a very distinct landscape. Lots of exposed rock and steep shorelines. Also one of the highest density of the armed services personel especially the Navy in Canada.
