Spalderdash Hugo One thing I can say about my old truck is that the frame is solid. 316,000 klicks on the engine and transmission but she runs like a top and never misses a beat. It doesn't even burn oil which is surprising. Hard to kill those 4.3's though. I know the engine will far out last the body.

Yup I got a 5.0 with 288 klicks on her and she runs like a charm, surprises me everyday that ol' truck. Love it to bits tho.

Around 30 years ago, my brother and I, would drive an hour and a half to Calgary for the same deal. The wrecking yards around Red Deer wont let you pull your own parts. They charge 1/2- 3/4 of the price of a new item. As I'm about to post I see he has an e-mail address. Maybe I can get headlight surrounds for my 57 D100, or a decent grille for the'80 Powerwagon
@Aaron-TheHandsome7 жыл бұрын
Interesting. 1957 & 1980? I believe Both of those particular items will be difficult to track down, Yet possibly go custom instead? Try looking up J&J Enterprises for a grille, they can make a stainless steel one if you send them dimensions and maybe the original for comparison.
@ronnieromero76048 жыл бұрын
Very nice to see The average hard working guy can fix the family car for cheap. 50 bucks is not asking a lot considering some parts are worth hundreds. The only thing that pisses me off is I know some people are pulling off 500$ worth of parts for 50 and making money then someone goes to look for a part but some asshole pulled it to make money not fix his own car for cheap. Anyhow it's a great service this yard provides, kudos.

Know of any in Ft.laud Fla.? I need some interior trim parts, and would love to pull some airbags from a few cars, and resell them! I always assumed they were pulled when the cars hit the lot. But...someone said on here, that they were pulling an airgbag. They are worth a freaking mint!! Can sell them all over EBay for a huge profit and still way below cost!

I Love the IDEA! Totally and you have your free days. Thats is Just cool. It keeps older cars on the road longer and running better then if you didn't have the money to tune the motor back up. It saves waste no reason to trash usable parts. You should also have a return old parts day stuff that stopped working. So it can be recycled properly, bring back a motor get a motor for 50 bucks. Hold it do you guys call it Bucks in Canadia? isn't that an american slang term? A buck is a US dollar! or A Male Deer. You know I went to canada once with my wife we changed out American money for Canadian money, My wife kept asking for Us change back.......... I had to tell her were using there type of money now.. we go home you'll be using our type of money.
