It is hard to see all those cars just rotting away cas of one reason or another, always a good thing to keep in mind, although a little sad, "The junk adventures" could name the series after that if you haven't already, good luck with the build Mike

Those cars once has a good owner taking care of them and one day it just landed on this landfill kinda makes me wanted to rescue all of them but we know we can't save alot of them though. It just sad too see those cars just rotten...
@TwoDollarGararge Жыл бұрын
They were used abused and thrown out as all cheap cars are especially sports cars and if you've ever purchased a project car you very well know the hardest part of it is fixing the mess the last guy made

I can't wait I'm totally excited. Junk yards are usually a $2 classroom. I was told when I was young that a junkyard is a place to learn. It's kinda crazy to see other states that have tons of rust when cars here in Oregon get scrapped because they are unwanted projects.

As a second gen probe owner I can kinda see the resemblance of the 240 in it, especially with the wrap around rear windows. Personally I think it’s a good car by itself, fwd sucks but that puts it in the same class as the Integra and the prelude. Fun underrated car that is still really cheep to buy to this day.

In the mid 1990s my brother in law was about 19 and had an excel he bought new. I was about 14-15 and drove many place and many times in that excel. It ran like a dream and was getting around 40+ mpg to the gallon.

Quick lesson... The E36 that was black was a 318 you don't want it. It's 4 cyl. And it's easier to actually find the 6 cyl... The Mitsubishi diamante is actually a cool little family race car. They had a turbo version and they actually have decent HP stock n/a. Also you missed 3 2j's 😅 also the 4 motion vws typically came big brake.

@bad74maverick1 Жыл бұрын
@10:00 Yep had one. 1991 same year as your looking at. Black manual 4 banger 2 door with tan interior. Ignition wire burned in two. Mechanic looked it over thought it was a faulty wire and replaced it. 3 days later car burned to the ground. Got so hot the there was a small pool of aluminum underneath it when they towed it away. The white crown vic @11:24, that's typically caused by sap. it's been sitting in a wooded area and sap has collected on it, and dried with dirt.

5:16 Mitsubishi had the Diamante to sell alongside the Galant and more people liked the larger Galant so they stopped selling it here after that. I drove one back in 2003 on a first date when Ashley let me drive her car. Mitsubishi was popular then, and silver was very popular color in early 2000's for many cars.
@robertmcdevitt7873 Жыл бұрын
Asa general observation, Japanese manufacturers of computer chips like mitsubishi and hyundai also produced heavy equipment like excavators and the mitsubishi fuso cab over box trucks. Mitsubishi used to manufacturer large, rear projector tv's in the 1990's. Japan would have sold many more sports cars if the USA didn't have archaic sanctions stemming from WW2. THe USA also limited Japanese cars to 276 HP output which is lame. But Chrysler and dodge really didn't have a rear wheel drive car for decades besides the Viper. SO they had borrowed a lot of mitsubishi technology and rebadged the eclipse as the plymouth laser and the eagle talon. What is cool abot the galants is that you could convert them to the AWD layout of the vr4 ifyou changed the gas tank to an eclipse gsx tank and changed out the suspension and mounted the rear diff, etc. DSM fo eva!

The Mitsubishi diamanté was only produced in 03-04, my mom has one in NM that has been wrecked in the front. Finding parts for it is damn near impossible because it was only made for 1- 1/2 years before it was discontinued. Defiantly a stay away car unless you have a clean one that’s garage kept.
