@@donaldmichaellumsden2714 LOL you focus more on the past then the future, Canada still does peace keeping missions, If we were a Super power again, we would be a threat to the world globally, along with Countries like U.S and Russia and China and get constant death threats with nukes etc. The fact you focus more on the past and think this should be implied to the present makes this very funny. Everyone knows Canada earns the reputation being peace keepers, not some warmongering kid, like the U.S or China. You seem to view everything about power, but power doesn't mean shit to people who want to live with their normal lives.

Can you imagine how formidable the Canadian Forces would be if we had 100 more tanks, 100 more artillery pieces, and all of our regular and reserve infantry regiments were at full strength? Oh, and about 200 updated fighter jets and a few subs and destroyers? With our training we would be unstoppable. But, with the Libs in power, military spending and recruitment will be paltry at best.

I have a diploma in firearms repair and have worked in gun shops all over British Columbia and Ontario. I have over twenty years of experience. I was born in a small town working on farm’s and camping deep in the bush, I can hit a target 1/2 km away with a Styer 50cal bolt action. But CAF will not except my application so I now work for drug lords. I repair Glocks, Bushmaster AR-15, CZ858, Colt 1911, Remington 870 and much much more. But the CAF doesn’t want me. Very interesting 🤨

Hi. Eight years infantry in 70s and 80s. But I’m wondering, I’ve seen a few recent CF videos and the soldiers have beards. What has changed since the days of yore when we were told that the gas masks couldn’t seal properly around the face with a beard? (I had a very distinguished moustache 🥸).
@vincentsavoca55753 жыл бұрын
BEARDFORGEN allows for beards in the Canadian Forces. This was instituted a few years ago. So aside from religious exemptions, anybody who has passed their DP1 course (trades training) is able to grow one. The beards have to be in regulation, and only certain styles are allowed, so this doesn't permit for hipster beards, exaggeratedly long Viking beards and etcetera. Before CBRN training, you simply shave off your beard in order to wear a gas mask. Easy as.
@jcjammer89723 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that!
@vincentsavoca55753 жыл бұрын
@@jcjammer8972 No problem. Hopefully my explanation has brought you up to speed on the current policy regulation with regards to this. It may also be worth mentioning that, in the near future, the Canadian Forces will be getting issued with brand new gas masks. I'm talking with my fingers crossed here, because I'm quite sure that you likely know how bullshit our procurement system is as well. However, the point is that these gas masks may potentially be a little bit more roomy for beard usage. But nothing confirmed thus far.
