If you're looking for street stalls, definitely head north to Penang (about 4 hours by bus) --- there are hawker food stalls everywhere within Georgetown. Food and lodging are exceptionally inexpensive relative to US/Canadian standards. The atmosphere is very much like the Richmond, BC summer night market, except the food is much tastier and way cheaper in Penang. Alternatively you can head south to Singapore which has lots of food centers populated with stalls selling local foods. KL to Singapore is about the same distance as to Penang. However if there is a traffic jam at the Johore/Singapore border it may be quite a wait. I had a trip planned for Singapore and Penang in May but had to postpone due to the coronavirus outbreak. Happy eating!

It is nothing new with the fact that English is widely spoken in Malaysia. Do not forget that Malaysia was a former colony of the British. In fact, Malaysia is one of Asian countries that speak English other than Singapore and Philippines. It is even a first language of many Malaysians. Also, please note that other than English and our national language Malay, there are many languages are widely spoken in Malaysia, such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Tamil, Iban etc. That makes Malaysia truly Asia!

It is so true that Malaysia is the most underrated country in the whole world. People knows about Thailand , Indonesia and even the tiny Singapore but not Malaysia. If only the chinese and indians of Malaysia would learn to appreciate more and be grateful to the malays for having them here. For giving them the opportunity to prosper in this country. Be thankful and grateful. Learn to assimilate and do it fast the Indians and Chinese should be a shame of themselves for not being able to speak proper bahasa Malaysia. They die not being able to speak fluent bahasa Malaysia. It only takes the Chinese and Indians 3 months in Australia to make them able to speak English with Australian accent. Incredible isn't it? Living in Malaysia for 100 years and still cannot speak proper bahasa Malaysia but 3 months in Australia and they sounded 100% ozzie

Hey, glad you had a good stay in Kuala Lumpur but bear in mind Msia is more than just Kuala Lumpur. Hope your next trip would be as enjoyable. Depending on your whims and fancies and what needed to tick your boxes here are some of the things that you can do. Snorkelling or scuba diving, visit the islands on the eastern coast of the peninsula or in Sabah. For jungle trekking or hiking there are highlands resorts, national parks etc. To immerse yourself in different Malaysian cultures, visit the different heartlands of every ethnic groups in Msia. The Malays in K elantan or Terengganu, the Chinese in Penang or Ipoh, the Indians in Klang, Selangor and of course the myriads of tribal ethnic groups that are native to Sabah and Sarawak in the Eat Malaysia. Fof food , Penang is the no 1 city in the world for street food, the different colours and taste of every cuisine in different states .... oooh man, I could go on forever .... Take your time to do that next trip to Malaysia and it wont cost you arms and leg for everything, mostly.

english languange here is important, like we learnt it even from a really young age. We even learnt the english subject from primary sch and high sch maybe even from kindergarden. So i very confident to say that every malaysian can speak eng and ofc its easier for tourists to communicate with :)
@puddin92204 жыл бұрын

Hani's forehead is bigger than your future its okayyyyyy, as long as u want to study more, u can speak eng in the future. languange is not an easy thing, u can start slowly but surely :)
@jackalshine13694 жыл бұрын
But there are a bunch of ‘anak manja’ who oppose English teaching and think that English is challenging their rights... LMFAO!
@sabrinabatrisyiaaa4 жыл бұрын
Jackal Shine lol their parents is the one who make their child being 'manja', its a important education why do u have to manja-ing your child for his/her own good in the future ??? sometimes the parents have to be more strict (?) i guess in this kind of things, in my oppinion cuz its involve education

If not mistaken, these two happy young ladies travelled (stayed, rather!) around Malaysia for an unbelievable seven months! Covering almost all the states. Their videos are just too good, almost documentary-like, and fun-filled too 😅 Glad you guys enjoyed your travel here. Datang lagi, literally means : come again!

You should go to our beaches too, most recommended is Semporna, Sabah.. It's like Malaysia version of Maldives.. And try going to any of the village instead of city.. You'll find something much better than just by staying at the city..
