Hi keV, here in the UK our air pistol power limit is 6ft lbs. So I don't understand why crosman exports the 1377c here stating upto 495 FPS on the box. Is it we are getting the Canadian model here too ? We should surely get the US version instead ! What do you think ? Does the 1377c stand for Canadian model ?

i belive the c could mean canadain but not a 100% sure on that but the laws suck either way on airguns even here in canada.. if your box says upto 495 then you are getting the canadain versions for sure.. easy to mod tho just order in a 1322 vave or plug the hold in the canadian valce then install a 22xx or a 1322 transfer port and your at USA specs so at 600 fps max with 7.4 grain pellet youll see 5.92 fpe the usa guns usually runs in the low to mid 500s tho but then that can be moded for more power as well

A Canadian 1322 shooting under 500 is over the required 4.2 fpe with any weight pellets. Is that legal ?

this is a 1377 not a 1322 also if you had watch the video with the standard weight pellets of 7.4 grain the gun is well under 500 FPs the use of lighter pellets which will put it and most non pal airguns over the 500 fps limit is leagle in canada it always has been .. if you over pump. the gun in the case of this power plant style your still leagle .. because you are over pumping against the advice of the manfuator which will damage the gun so keep it at the max reccomned pumps to avoid damage to the gun and the gun will stay under 500 with standard wieght pellets this was all very clear in the video what my speeds where at 10 pumps and at well over 10 pumps.. crosman 1322s at 10 pumps stock gun will be just under 500 but will exceed 500 if you over pump the gun which will also put it over the limits but its and over change of the valve ..

it would go well over 500 fps and then you would require a pal for the gun other wise if caught with a what would then be illeage or over 500 fps gun with out a pal can land you in jail its called possion of a firearm with out a licence for said firearm.. its one thing to use light pellets to put an airgun over 500 fps that is totally allowed but to jack an airgun up and run standard weighted pellets for said gun its not allowed unless you have the proper licence and there are some airguns you are forbidden to put over 500 fps reguarless of the licence you have

This fellas advice about transfer port size is in total opposition to other experienced air gunners. According to many sources going bigger on transfer port sizes (on .177 especially ) often results in a slower pellet.

well they are totally wronge the smaller the port the slower the speed but there is a limit to the port going bigger yet and once you reach that limit where it wil in fact slow the gun down there are then other mods you have to do which will not only bring back the last speed prior to the slow down but also will increase the speed alot and with out that well youl just not get very far so iam correct as i also under stand air pressures something most airgunners are clueless about . so you can trust me or the undereducated take your pick. my experience in this and airguns period is very extensive with way to many hours of testing and modding as you would call it..

Wow, good to know. Thanks Kev...or should I say Yoda? I'm looking to pump up fps on 1322 and 2240 while staying legal in Canada. I have a 14.5" barrel that I can switch between either. Not interested in boring out or changing the valve(s) in any way but have no problem with changing the transfer port. Not interested in heavier hammer spring, as I have heard that makes the guns noisier, and also starts to mess up the synchronicity of the designs. Any suggestions are very much appreciated. My motivation is to get a rabbit if needed. I don't like getting something for nothing, so maybe I can reciprocate. Maybe a tin of your favourite pellets or an Ftd floral delivery for your significant other? Many thanks.

I love preadotor polymag .22cal pellets, anyhow either gun out of hte box will take out rabbits but if its percision you want and that closer to 500 mark then 14 on the 1322 is great idea and a steel breech as well as a leapers bugbuster for being a cheaper but great scope the 2240 you want to stay at around 10 to 11 inchs tops other wise your over the limit a little , steel breech and a leapers bug buster scope as well perfect setups for 10 to 20 meter stuff topside at 20 meters the trasfer ports in the 1322 and the 2240 are the same so no changes needed there, the hammer spring on the 1322 is as heavey as it gets without a power adjuster , the 2240 will do best for noise and gas on its stock spring but if you wantt o break the limits then 1322 hammer spring works great but a bit louder and less shots both guns will be a bit more quiet eitehr way with longer barrels.
