no need to come to India. India is a country which hates wealthy and smart (high IQ) ppl. go where you are treated best. Brahmins, banias, khatris shouldnt be too patriotic to serve Indians (when we have already given half our wealth in taxes, in college seats, promotion, etc)

Inviting the right people and asking the right questions vagaire to sab theek hai lekin koi Harmeet se poochhe ki apne guests ko kuchh paisa-vaisa bhi deta hai ya jo bhi kamaaii hoti hai khud hi hazam kar jaata hai? Is ghareeb doctor ke zariye se Harmeet ne badey paise kamaaye honge. Doctor ki shakal hi ghareebon waali hai. Is ghareeb ko bhi kuchh paise diye ya khud hi hadap kar gaya Harmeet? Ye Punjabi aur Sikh log bahot shaatir, chaalu, chunt aur selfish hote hain. Inki daadhi mein aise aise raaz chhupe hote hain jiska kisiko nahin pataa hota.

Thanks CandidCast and the Doctor for this presentation. It was very informative. I have few Questions like 1) What is the minimum Canadian Qualification and experience a doctor needs to start his own day Clinic or hospital. 2) when a person is referred to an specialist by the day clinic, the specialist shall give a call to patient for appointment date or the specialist informs the day clinic and day clinic is supposed to tell the patient for the appointment date. Thanks

Great podcast. Doctor jee is very soft spoken and knowledgeable. But i disagree with most of things he said about healthcare in Canada and India. My friend had his elbow fractured, imagine his pain... they asked him to visit them next day! This is crazy..in India they wont charge you fortune to fix the elbow....10k 20k ruppes max? Govt hospitals wud do it for free...and leave 2-3 states aside most govt hospitals do their job free of cost... The only thing i agree is cancer treatment, i know one indian old person in his 60s suffering from cancer, he was treated free of cost and they used to call him time to time to check on him...but it is also possible someone with serious underlying condition getting his condition into last stages because it can take months and months for them to investigate...as prima facie they dont see it as life threatening and by the time they get to the conclusion its already too late...canada needs many more doctors...but they dont hire because it burdens the medical budget because the whole socialist medical system is by nature is faulty

Socialist healthcare system would never work. None of other countries are currently practicing it. Candana should completely make this redundant. Combination of private and public is always good way forward, which Canadian MPs would never agree for Vote Bank Politics. He said very correct way for Nurses situation in Canada. Many those are crossing Detroit daily basis and coming to US for work. Because nurses are not well respected at Candana.

Kindly forward the following to the Doctor. This is going to be a game changer to all those Indian doctors who are Looking for a better prospect in the west. Now all 706 Indian medical colleges got approval from WFME . The below given details are self explanatory. You must forward this to all the Doctor struggling in Canada. Students who have graduated from medical schools in India can now practice in foreign countries. The National Medical Commission (NMC) of India has received the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) Recognition Status for 10 years. Under this accreditation, all 706 existing medical colleges in India will gain WFME accreditation status. Additionally, any new medical colleges established in the next decade will automatically receive WFME accreditation. It opens doors for Indian Medical Graduates to pursue postgraduate training and practice medicine in countries that require WFME recognition, including the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, according to a press release by the Union Health Ministry. This will also make India an attractive destination for international students due to our globally recognized standards. Apart from this, the NMC will get the privilege of enhancing the quality and standards of medical education in India by aligning them with the global best practices and benchmarks.

Sir, this news was not correctly delivered and has been causing a lot of misinformation. Students who have done MBBS and/or MD/MS from India can’t directly practice in USA/ Canada. Students still have to take all the exams needed to be eligible to apply for residency/ post graduation here. The only difference is that earlier only those students could take the exam who were graduates of medical colleges accredited with the WFME; whereas now, NMC (the parent medical body to which all Indian medical colleges are accredited) has been given approval by the WFME. This naturally makes students of all medical colleges in India eligible for exams in USA/ Canada.

Dear candid cast your surmise that giving the original inhabitants in Canada first choice in the Medical disciplines they choose to practice to the caste system is not only ridiculous but ill informed. The reservations in India are made so as to give the children of the landless and disadvantaged a chance at par with those that have for generations benefitted from these institutions because either they are landed, have more money or other advantages which the children of these people have not had in the past. Their children are as bright and precious as any. India therefore has a fluid class system unlike some other countries that are supposedly developed but crossing the class barrier is the most difficult thing on earth. It is exploitation and mistreatment of Indian medical graduates on which India has already spent a lot of money and trains these doctors to the highest standards. It is disrespectful of Canada not to give Indian doctors equal choice with regard to what speciality they will practice. It's discrimination and exploitation by throwing the carrots of developed countries in the faces of people that were colonised and looted. A middle class person in India now lives a more comfortable life than the citizens of so called developed countries and they are also is surrounded by the warmth of thousands of years of Indian civilisation. India is coming into it's own and there are going to be better opportunities here than most so called developed countries. Your choice of speaker was superb. Here is an intelligent , honest , perceptive doctor who is not only a credit to himself but the country he originates from - India.

So the logic of the hierarchy is that a first-world publicly-funded healthcare system prioritizes first-world graduates. India is a third-world country. That is why so many Indians emigrate to Canada. In addition Canada is largely a secular society so a medical professional who is overtly religiously fundamentalist is going to have trouble adapting to Canadian secularism.

Dr is such a gentleman. But please don’t interrupt him while he speaks. That’s bad manners.

DR. RHYTM YOU ARE IGNORING THE FACT THAT IN USA THE INDIAN DOCTORS TOO GET LEFT OVER SPOTS (primary care mostly at places u.s. grads dont wanna go) AND INDIAN PG IS VERY FORWARDS AND SIMPLE SYSTEM BASED EXCLUSIVELY ON MERIT, USMLE IS MERIT PLUS WAY WAY MORE EFFORTS . THE USMLE IS A LONG TEDIOUS PROCESS . DEFINATELY TOUGHER THAN INDIAN POST GRADUATION And CANADIAN SYSTEM AS WELL . AND USMLE IS WAY TOUGHER THAN CANADIAN SYSTEM EVEN ACADEMICALLLY AND VERY FEW INDIANS GO TO CANADA FOR THEIR POST GRADUATION , Yeh 35 percent wala statistics is as wrong as it gets . YOU ARE DEFINETELY ONE OF THE VERY GOOD ONES BUT MOSTLY LOW GRADE MBBS GO TO CANADA JISNE NA INDIAN PG HOTI HAI NA USMLE ( AMERICAN PG)
