Small correction - you can get government of Canada’s senior advisor roles with English only profile. You cannot manage anyone without French levels. In schools, you have special programs such as cogito, French immersion, IB or regular etc. My conclusion after staying in Canada for over 8 years- it’s a paradise for the illiterates.

The litmus test of the suitability of any place is how it stacks up against your priorities in life and your life/ worldview. Any place is good or bad ; for me, for example, America has never aligned with my priorities, for others it has always been just wow. Same goes for Canada or any other place. Everyone’s journey, circumstances, backgrounds are completely different. May we all seek peace and find peace in lives.

@@muhammadakramassi1476 US is rich with bigger economy and more opportunities. Health care is good in US but expensive. If your salary package is good you can afford healthcare. Elementary and high school education is much better in US than Canada. Canada has more immigrants so there is more acceptability for colored people than US. Some US states mostly Midwest are Republican voters who are against immigrants hence more racism. My kids struggled in school socially however in Canada you celebrate Ramzan, Devali and other occasions in schools etc. Canada is more family oriented, welfare state with free health.

I spent several years in the US as an undergraduate student, during which students were issued OPT to stay an additional year. However, finding a job within that timeframe for a proper work visa (H1) didn't materialize for me. In 2010, I moved to Canada as a graduate student, receiving a three-year work visa upon graduation. By 2014, I became a Permanent Resident, and in 2018, I obtained Canadian citizenship. Despite the harsh Edmonton weather, our heating systems make it manageable, and I benefit from having a doctor cousin for quick healthcare consultations. Sales enthusiasts can easily hop on a flight to the US for great bargains. While I've been a Canadian citizen for nearly six years, a friend in the US recently obtained her Green Card. We both graduated from the same US University in 2008. The key point is that Canada provided me with a passport enabling worldwide travel, including the US, and allowing me to work there. Attempting such a move without the Canadian Passport would be a different challenge.

Great conversation, but here are some facts: . Canadas population is about the size of State of California in USA- so the economy is quite small- this limits economic growth opportunities there . Issue I have seen and it is also evident from this conversation that desis want to live in Canada or US but want everything to be like it was back home- due to this they don’t make an effort to integrate into the new society- so they feel isolated and mis out on opportunities. Conversations over a cup of tea are always centered around how hard their life in their adopted homeland is- they have to load the dishwasher themselves?? . In Mid East- you are treated as 2nd class always- no path to Citizenship . I am not a CEO in US but have someone who cooks and provides meals for me and my wife whenever we need it and also pay a company to clean snow when ever it is more than 2- inches or higher. It is affordable. . Life is not as difficult as it is being portrayed- I pumped gas during student life, but you learn the tough work ethic to survive- this is the way of life in Canada and US Thanks

Basically there is a series of steps if u pass through u r likley to get a job but most jobs graduation is needed . Do remembr in canada educaton is not treated same as in the subcontinent ,save for some jobs like doctors where it is a diff ball game. I accessed all the programs aroud same time though it was great to b part of newcomers i find the govt is wasting too much money on such programs which can be intergrated and these centers r not held accountable if they r not able to land jobs for their clients .

Great interview. Personally love the content that Wali sahib creates. Lastly I can relate with what the sister has mentioned during her interview. There a few areas that I disagree but I am glad that she sounds more like an optimistic and realistic person. You mentioned about the Islamic school and I have sent my children to Islamic school but point is how many people can afford it. Also with the current changes in curriculum, it is a growing concern for parents and should be a concern for parents sending their children to the Islamic school. U can not raise children in a bubble. I had got the option multiple times to move to US but avoided it since parents were in Canada plus after they passed away, I still did not move as I am scared of guns. Dubai is a great option but I am unsure if it will be a good idea to move there.

What is your objective to come to Canada? Do not use immigration agent. No need to pay them. All information are readily available step by step in Canadian immigration official website and on KZbin. If you plan work here, I highly advise you do some research on KZbin. Age 60 here is considered a retirement age. After COVID Canada has become very expensive and inflation is very high. Many Canadians are fed up with high cost of living and are planning to move to cheaper countries.

I moved from Toronto to Chicago for same reasons as Batool but I tend to disagree with her to some extent. Canada is as flashy and cheap like Dubai. Desi people in Canada like to show off. They drive fancy Merc, Audi & BMW SUVs etc. they love to brag about their detached fancy million dollar houses. Whereas I found in USA it is more simpler living at least middle class people try to live within their means. Real estate is pretty affordable and practical. But Healthcare in USA is a nightmare!

Job seekers cannot be compared to business person My advice is that start bussiness on zeo level you must have plan It take 2 to 3 yrs to stable People who moves from one place to other just they do earning and spending nothing more my friend have 150000 dollars salary does not save the money, I am bussiness Person living in Delhi I have started software company and work for that

Very sensible! You can't compare job seeker person & business mindset person. Another thing is some people prefer family life over money....try to find out your catogery you want good job, work life balance, business, family life, middle East ➡️ wesk UK etc depends on U

Dude if u save good money in Middle East there is no point in moving to West. I know people who did business in Middle East made billion of rs. Bought real estate assets in UK , Turkey, Dubai and Pakistan. At the end of the day it is all about money. Every place feels like paradise if u have money in pocket.

But in Europe UK even average salary threshold (middle class) are enjoying life better than millionaires in middle East (Dubai) end of the day healthcare /happiness 😊 and family life matters ❤ note down 👇

Anything in this universe has a growth cycle. growing stage-saturation stage and decline stage Its simple logic -Asia is in growing stage and anglospere has already grown and going through saturation stage and decline is waiting to happen Gone are those days when you can make a good life by moving to anglospere (US,UK,Canada,Australia)countries. Now its a compromise which is not worth it.

Way too optimistic. Totally unaware of the real struggle. The lady clearly comes from money. They could spend all this time looking for a quality job. Most of us take what we can get. And most companies waste time with fake jobs. I graduated from university of calgary as a cad citizen and it was near impossible to find a job. It took me 3 years to get a job because most companies would rather hire immigrants for cheap than hire local new grads. I eventually had to resort to lying to land first job.

biggest draw back is for change of our generation values. every one cannot afford islamic school. secondly though islamic values are taught , but not the style, we parents used to follow in our country. it is different. then our relatives and cousins and our previous child hood life and similar interactions ,all missed out. that missing out is big thing for emotional loving nature people. i have spent many years in dubai and since many years i am here, living in canada . i will not suggest to come here, if one is well settled in Pakistan . second option after Pakistan should be dubai. dubai is still close to our country. one can be there in 1-2 hours . canada is quite far. apnou ko chor kar itnee door ana ,bawakofee hae. apney puranee logo sae zindagee hotee hae. do not leave that.
