The song is fully in Breton (celtic language spoken in Brittany, West France). Fulenn : Sparkle or Pretty Girl. It's about an ancestral mystical legend!

Glad you like this song, it's my favourite french entry in a while :) The lyrics are in breton and I understand absolutely none of them without looking up translations, but they talk about Katel Kollet, who in breton folk stories is supposed to have been a woman who didn't want to marry and preferred dancing all night long. To "punish" her for that, the devil takes her on a dance during a whole night, and she is found dead of exhaustion the next morning. These singers flip that conservative "marry a man and behave" message on its head, since the pre chorus says "I dance with the devil, so what?" ("Dañsal a ra gant an diaoul ha para?")

Gallicia and Brittany are both celtic nations. It explains how the French selected song can remind of the Spanish contestant. Both are part of celtic culture.

Literally in my top 5, that uniquely ritualistic, gargoyle-like and occultist Breton entry of /Fr*æ6An*6Cæ*e6\, alongside with Poland, Norway, Romania 'n' UK. And, the runner-up to the top 5 or for now on 6th place then that would be Azerbaijan.Lovely reaction btw.Lovely it's. Greets from Denmark - And,yeah, a big no to putting my country's entry on top 5 this year, I can tell you that much. Not worth it this time. Perhaps in top 10,tbh,though..lol...🥴😂😅😉🤘👍💪🕳➿️🕳♋️☦️♋️🕳➿️🕳

Congratulations to the Bretons .... to win we must fire the dancer who serves nothing but to hypnotize the audience to the detriment of the three singers , also to accentuate more the changes of rhythm it must be even more brutal .... Other than that I am Breton I do not speak it but I thought I understood half that these young women wanted to go dancing with the devil in this period of uncertainty ... This song is about a Breton legend about a girl who loves dance and is a dreamer. One night, the devil comes to her under the skin of a nice young man and forces the girl to dance all night long until her death Breizh do ma Bro (Brittany is my country/ Brittany is my country) so good luck “Bevet Breizh” Google translated.
