Thank you so match for this ! I seen a comment explaining the song a bit but this is some more imfo. Sir Jonathan Trelawny was one of the seven bishops imprisoned by James II in 1688 and is well known for his part in the Glorious Revolution witch successfully replaced the Royal Family !

this is the unofficial anthem of Cornwall "Trelawny" originally published in 1826. there is also a version sang in the Cornish Language.

This is the first time I have ever heard of this Anthem...or heard it. In passing, the Tamar (pronounced Tay_mar) is the river separating the two English counties of Cornwall and Devon. The Servern is the _longest river in the UK_ and rises somewhere in Wales, down through Wales and into the Bristol Channel. The Severn is longer than the Thames, the latter which runs from somewhere in the English county of Gloucester, I believe, and down _through the centre of London_ and out into the Thames Estuary (pronounced the Temz) into the North Sea). (Edited to correct earlier misinformation). 🙂😊🏴♥️🇬🇧🖖

@@sjbict Thank-you. I knew somebody would be able (& willing) to edit my errors and/ or inability to explain the full facts. I appreciate your time and effort in correcting my previous comment, and updating my obvious lack of information. I hope I caused no offence, none was intended. 👍🤔🏴♥️🙂🖖
