@langdonalger92195 жыл бұрын
They were offering their pick at 17 and a third rounder to move up to 15. Its fair value, but Montreal wanted Caufield , so they just stayed at 15. Ottawa traded the 18th pick and a third rounder to get to 15 to pick Erik Karlsson in 2008. Some teams are willing to move back if they aren’t set on one particular guy because they know they will still get a good prospect if they move back a few spots. Montreal was smart to stay where they were and they got their guy.
@habs92795 жыл бұрын
By the looks of it, it was always been Cole Caufield for the Habs, you can see they were hoping he’ll be there at 15. I’m happy we got him.

Ok, so between the 8:00 mark and 9:00 mark you can see Marc's drafting list on the table beside him. He is crossing out names as they get drafted. The list is visible and from a few frames you can make out the whole list(after some photoshop enhancing). It's the smaller slip of paper with handwritten names. 1.Hughes 2.Kakko 3.Zegras 4.Byram 5.Turcotte 6.Krebs 7. Boldy 8.Podkolzin 9.Dach 10.Caufield 11.Seider 12. Cozens 13. Broberg 14. Knight 15.
