The truck driver knows much more. You don't ride 2.5 hours with someone and not talk with them. Who would pick up a young kid covered in blood and not ask them what the hell happened to them?

Haven't listened to the whole account yet, but after reading your comment, I would say that it sounds like an excuse as to why the boys blood would be in his truck, ie. He picked him up that way....but didn't ask...doubt that.... probably blood there because trucker killed humans needed an excuse as to why blood or blood traces were there.

About six years ago, I lost a daughter. You really never get over that. But days after she passed away, she kept trying to reach out to us to let us know she was OK. She would turn the lights on and off and my youngest daughter would say Jackie stop that and it would stop. Other things also happened that help us all to go get medical check ups. She passed away with lupus. We all got checked and found out we all have it. It’s not just lupus. It has other things that go along with it like blood disorders. When we got check for auto immune disorders, all the weird things stopped. That’s what makes me think. She was reaching out to us. Call us all crazy, but it’s true.

I just remember my grandmother tell us a story about when my uncle passed away from a helicopter crash where he was the pilot. It was close to the Mother’s Day. On Mother’s Day she felt a kiss on her cheek and she told us she was 100% sure it was her son. ❤❤😢

No, not crazy. I lost my husband 5 years ago & he still pops in now & then to check up on me. I value & appreciate that. Because, you know, the body may have died but the soul lives on. No matter what, what made your daughter your daughter still lives on, & no one can take that from you. Remember that always. Sending you love & light & my deepest sympathy for your loss.

I 💯 % belive you. My dad told us a bunch of stories. I encountered sprits many times not any one in my family whom passed away though. Strange my mom never came to me since she passed. I was told maybe because we were never close.I never felt she truly loved me when she was alive( I felt that) my mom has her favorites my little sister and my brother. I truly belive that was the reasons. Because my mom visited my brother's girlfriend right after my mom passed. And they weren't even close my mom barley know her.

Grande Prairie resident here. Thank you for this episode for Jamie. I’m in his moms fb group dedicated to finding him and it’s hard to see her heartbreak. This is a mystery. Where did he go, where is he. We pass the area often where he went missing in the flats and it’s crazy that he was there and than just gone. When I first discovered David and the 411 the first thing I thought of was Jaime. He definitely needs to be included in this phenomenon.

Out of curiosity, do you think it’s possible that the RCMP didn’t just happen to be there shortly after Jamie went missing? Do you think it’s at all possible that they were responding to a report (or something else) that something unusual was seen? Something like strange lights, or anything else that may make the RCMP think something phenomena-related was seen in that area?

Missing is THE worst. Absolutely. The fantastically crazy, wild, awful things the mind can conjure up when someone they love is missing is terrifying. And to potentially never have an answer and no ability for closure. The frustration, the terror, the confusion, the lack of being able to do anything productive is hideous. It never leaves you, you are always thinking about it, looking for them, pondering every night before you go to sleep and every morning as soon as you wake up... what an absolute nightmare.

The feeling is the worst feeling in the world . The emptiness and fear is overwhelming . It’s indescribable. I know from when my daughter went missing . Thank God she was found . She was being groomed in her friends home by the friends aunt that had an arrest record for drugs . Those friends and aunt told me my daughter was dead . Miracles happen . I used a local psychic priestess that found the house she was being held in . No arrest was made unfortunately at that time . Don’t give up no matter what . People lie . Keep going and follow your instinct . Thank God .

As someone who used to smoke & drink, and also had friends that did, I can honestly say that we would've never thrown a pack of cigarettes down like that - especially while drunk. We would've, however, walked a mile for ONE. 😄 Or, for a lighter. Lol. The way his cigarettes were discarded on the ground like that, it sounds like he was caught off guard by something or someone, and/or snatched.

If they could track his sneakers small town how not one noticeable red truck that seems to frequent the area if he came back through mentioning he picked the kid up. But also why wouldnt he stick and around and really help out if he was concerned enough to pull over and mention it anyway? All that part seems fishy.

A quick guess at what happened. When he was pull out of his truck he hit his head and bled. The report from the truck driver (the blood on his shirt). Perhaps the injury caused some kind of effects on his perception, his thinking. All the clues indicate he was not dead at least 10 years after his disappearance. The shoe prints, the daisies, and the wet chair. They should check welding employer’s in a 250 mile around his mother’s home. He will be using another name. Get a photo of what he would look like today. Send the photo to all the welding shops in the 250 mile area. Jack Paccione

how about search and rescue at the beginning. that seems a little to handy. they were special ops? This feels like a cover up,, I don't feel like it was the truck driver, The person he told never even reported the information. All the cop stuff, hardly giving a dam, orders from the top maybe? I think there is so much more to this story. What was with the mound that his shoe print was on, and the dogs bringing the handlers to a tree? Why did the truck driver disappear, also suspicious, was he handled as a loose end, why didn't the person report the information, is she related to any of the kids who were there that night? This by far was my favorite , as I live in Alberta. The blood the trucker said James was covered in, did he indicate it was from injuries to James ? Did James get attacked killed someone in self defense, covered in their blood and fled ? A lot of killers are truckers, he may have lied to misdirect . I used to smoke… if I lost might lighter there is no way I would toss my pack of smokes. All these mysterious visitations after the fact, could be Jane’s, could be someone who feels responsible for his disappearance … I have a hard time thinking it was James from another dimension as why would he need heat in a car? Why leaving footprints ?

Well amnesia doesnt make you go back home and leave lovely momentos. He was disturbed about his dad being given a second chance at life. Investigate that. ,of course you are right ,who sets a table then withholds that info...at that point she knew exactly where James is. How could she not tell ? ,..and not follow up ask wether he was found .So either she was threatened to forger abt it, or ..... The 2nd woman, knows way too many details to sudenly ask 2weeks later. There is no way the 1st woman heard and retold that entire story in detail to a friend and not the authorities Could it be the 2nd woman was part of the made up story that he s somewhere around ..which is why they found the foot prints around the car ,the daisies etc? Didnt the 1st woman take the car number? Didnt she ask the truck driver his name and a contact tel no? Reallistically she should had announced the authorities on the spot. So they can talk to him ,right then and there, since he was willing to stop and talk After all i dont believe this ever happenned.. This story that the truck was distinctive and someone spotted it is BS How distinctive?who knew how it looked like, ? People will return to the 'scene of the crime' as in the trucker stopping off, to see what they knew. If he wanted to help, seems he would have talked to the parents, been adamant to make that connection to be helpful, knowing he could have been the last to seen him alive.

In regard to the lady who set up the table on the highway to seek information about Jamie, it is odd that she somehow forgets to tell about the truck driver who gave her the information about picking up the disappearing Jamie. Grande prairie Alberta! I’m the forestry contractor for most of the coniferous forests south of town. The canfor road goes down to the smoky flats it’s the main access road heading to the sawmill. Yes there are grizzly bears everywhere despite the government calling them “ endangered”. I hike alone through these forests for 5-10km per day on a weekly basis. Hopefully I don’t end up being a case on this channel. This is unnerving to say the least. They have a lot of Sasquatch signs on the roads (county puts them up)but people here just think it’s a big joke. I’ve had to shoot a couple bears coming in full send to eat me. It’s basically all bush up in northern Alberta endless up to the Arctic where it turns to tundra.

My husband passed from Cancer 8 years ago and the house we had built 24 years earlier became a hub of paranormal activity. None of this bothered me as we both had NDEs (Near Death Experiences) as children so we knew only the body dies and the Other Side is Grand. We had been steeped in Spiritual practices and Metaphysics for 30 years prior to his passing, and while I expected he would just visit me in my dreams, it didn't shock me when he started pulling all manner of practical jokes around the house including moving objects when I was nearby and closing doors on their own, while I watch them close, and of course flickering lights that had never flickered before . He also figured out how to send me all kinds of love messages which was very endearing. So I do believe that Jamie may have crossed over and is doing these things, but the physical appearance of flowers and shoe tracks in snow would indicate he's quite adept at it. If he has crossed over, I know, without a doubt, he is happy there. But they never forget their loved ones on Earth and they never stop caring about us . . . until we meet again. Condolences to his family and friends. It is so hard to lose loved ones, even when you know they're fine. But the element of mystery and the unknown, must make it so much harder.

I grew up around Grande Prairie and you are right Dave when you drive as little as 30-40 minutes South on Hwy #40 it is wilderness! I live in Edmonton now but whenever I go to Grande Prairie, instead of taking Hwy #43 back to Edmonton, I make a point of driving on Hwy #40 through to Grande Cache down to Hinton and connect with Trans Canada Hwy #16. It is such a gorgeous drive in the summer and in the fall. The Smoky river valley, Kakwa valley, into the mountains of Grande Cache. In fact there is a sign on the Trans Canada Hwy 16 down by Hinton stating "Scenic route to Alaska". For me, I found this presentation is so hauntingly ironic in the sense that you started your presentation with "don't become de-sensitized to these cases"..... and then you said Grande Prairie and held up the map to an area I know so well. That struck me so much! I feel so bad for this family (and all your missing cases families) not knowing what happened to their loved one and missing them everyday I'm sure.

It’s not uncommon for someone to insert themselves into an investigation surrounding a murder. The trucker should have been questioned immediately. The actions of the missing kid up to him “disappearing” is very odd. He either wanted to disappear or someone murdered him. The things happening around the house could be from whoever killed him. Wearing his shoes, goes to his home and playing mind games with the family. Sounds like a very smart murderer to me. I hope his family can find answers one day 🙏🏻

Oregon wildflower, your theory matches mine. I think the truck driver not being questioned or sought after is very suspicious because he is the ONLY person that saw Jamie alive after he wandered off from his friends. He is also the LAST person to see Jamie alive. And then the truck driver sells his truck two weeks after the incident and disappears!!! The fact that law-enforcement refused to seek after the truck driver and question him makes me think that he has connections in the police department and they are covering for him. It also makes me angry that Police never bothered to find out who the other person was that bought size 13 Adidas shoes exactly like Jamie’s.

Perhaps he was injured worse than his friends would admit, maybe they even told him to walk it off. Then, disoriented, he got lost, climbed a tree, then a mound to look for a road out. He made it to the road and was picked up by someone he shouldn't have trusted. Young people can make bad decisions and be loathe to admit them. Because he was so worried about his parents, perhaps he resisted crossing over, and was checking on his parents and letting them know that he loved them.

Searchers often miss a corpse, and years later someone finds remains where searchers looked. It happens quite often. Paulides is a sensationalist profiting from exaggerated stories. I agree with a comment here that when Jamie accidently hit his head as his friend was pulling him out of his vehicle to rightly stop him driving home 2 hours away with a lot of alcohol drank at their campsite, that Jamie could have been concussed or disorientated and wandered off. The truck driver who picked him up and dropped him now 4 hours away from his home area. Jamie told him where he came from. Driver tells him he is going in the opposite direction. Jamie said ok he would go in that direction. It was a pity truck driver didn't think of turning around and driving Jamie back to his hometown. It be doing someone he saw covered in blood in the middle of a dark night, injured a good deed. Lots of what ifs here. The report by the same trucker days later saying how he picked Jamie up to roadside table searcher people put there in to help the search so the passing public on road could stop their cars and report anything to help with search. Trucker did, but his report not passed on to police until much later. It is tragic and frustrating to see opportunities lost to have him home safely.

Sounds like he found that . According to the truck driver , he did remember where he lived . Is he still an amnesia struck person ? Only a very close family member would know the yellow daisys are his mother favourite flower . And , 2 1/2 hours away by car , not local . If he was leaving them behind , he was / is ? Driving . So many ways this May have gone . Perplexing . Thankyou Dave . XX.

I cannot imagine what this family went through and how strange it must have been for them. I would never ever think my son would go missing in the woods or camping with friends. If anything he is the guy that helps others while camping… god bless this family

Good day, Mr. Kindness and fellower villagers. I hope you are all doing well today. This is an interesting case today. My mind wonders how a young man starting his life away from his parents' home in such a good way vanished as he did. Was more than liquor being consumed at the campsite? Just a question, not an accusation. The whole event sure plays out in a crazy way. The things being left at his parents' house after he disappeared. I feel for this family and all the families who have lost a loved one in such strange ways. Without closure in any fashion. My heart grieves for these families. Dave, thank you for presenting this case with kind compassion. The tone of your voice speaks true concern for the family of the missing and the loved one who disappeared. I thank you for all you do every day.

The trucker did it . He said there was blood on Jaime just in case the cops checked his truck for evidence or blood . Then he lied and said he gave him a ride to a different town . Jaime was in the truck he just wasn’t alive for too long ??!! . I hope I’m wrong and he’s alive and well . Maybe has amnesia or just needed a fresh start ? Thanks Dave for caring and being you ! Love this channel ! I’ve lost a son as well and I’m always thinking of you and your. Ben !

Why would the cops check his truck?

Why would he stop and report picking him up if he was guilty, why draw attention to yourself?

This one is from my neck of the woods....another thing I have always wondered about is that they changed the name of Smokey Flats to McLeod flats shortly after this happened. Strange case indeed.
