To anyone thinking about buying this, DONT! They have now removed many of the include features and moved them to a paid subscription model. You now have to buy a pricey subscription to be able to use night mode, to be able to see more than a few seconds of motion, and now for it to even record all motion. They have deleted my account when I asked about this in the fourms. Amazon is taking full refunds from anyone that has bought one from them due to this.

It does work with Wink (home automation) now. I do plan on buying one to integrate with my home automation very soon.

what if youre sleeping and someone breaks in and you don't hear the notification on you're phone . is there a way to make the alarm go off as soon as it sees movement otherwise it's pretty much just a camera

They are missing a trick not adding PoE into that imo. This would also be awesome for server room monitor if you can have it alert on temp / humidity.

Got it recently (oct2018) Cons: you need subscription for recording downloading & two way conversation. Otherwise you have 24hr data only.

yes on this, power out and wi fi goes out unless you have a back up battery which some companies provide if you pay for a land line with the wi-fi. My wi fi has to be reset after a power outage now so if away and there is an outage, noway to reset things. I am thinking about getting a land line with it to get a battery back up.

What would happen if I was sleeping like a baby and my phone battery died or I would simply overhear the notifications on my phone. in Armed mode, would the system automatically sound the siren or do I need to do it all manually? Basically, if I'm a deep sleeper I would have no chance to know if there was a intruder in my house until the next morning when I check for notifications?

Imagen if it had tasker integration. Trigger when someone sets of the alarm to send a message to all the family members even if they don't have internet, scheduling with tasker and so many more possibilities! Maybe then I will actually think about buying it.

I would not like it. Knowing that there is a Camera in my Home that is watching me 24/7 and i don´t know if there is maybe a way to some people out there that can access it and looking what i can do? Maybe the manufacturer can access it.

I bought this camera and at first it was excellent. However Canary must be running out of cash as they now have removed most of the usable features and force you to take out a subscription to access them. Read very carefully otherwise you end up with an expensive paperweight

I think there may be some 3rd party addons that can allow it to work outdoors and mount to other surfaces, but it's not really intended for it. Canary makes a newer camera called the Flex that is intended for indoor/outdoor use and can be mounted: amzn.to/2EO4Qfo

Yes, exactly. Having both options is nice. Uploading to drop box, google drive, etc., would be far superior because the likelihood of those services being discontinued is far less than the likelihood of these companies going out of business or making their cloud service paid. I ended up getting the Piper NV, and while I really like it and it has worked great, I wish I could integrate it to my Western Digital MyCloud so that I could store my videos there and optionally upload them to cloud services, etc. if I felt the need.

I could not more strongly recommend that you DO NOT purchase anything made by this company. The cameras are unreliable. The app is unreliable, buggy, and will leave you signed out at the most crucial moments -- when you are away from home and relying on your camera to work. There are so many better options out there, and I truly wish I had never bought this product.
