That's such a lovely instrument. So much more attractive than the standard brand shapes , but not too extreme a change to be just a niche attraction. Stunning as ever Gio. (I feel like I start every comment on your videos like that 😂) but i mean it. What I love about what you do from the design to the finish to the hardware is you always achieve that perfect, harmonious balance of there being nothing there that doesn’t need to be there and the right amount of everything that does. And I agree, it’s stunning. Really nice demo too. I particularly like the sound of the middle and the neck positions. Wonderful !

Hi Gio. You have this quality of making things look so easy, but the time and effort to create a masterpiece like this is not apparent. I love what you've done here, and it is really stunning. No shortcuts or fixes after the fact. Just perfection in my eyes. I do have one gripe, though. I wish you could put out more content, as I can't wait for your next project. Ps. Love your selection of pickups. This one sounds killer. Best wishes. Mike. 👍🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

Can you please let me know your opinion on the Chestnuts Hard Wax Oil, the application and durability. It looks great. Finishing is always my biggest bugbear. Thanks again.
@TornelliGuitars
@TornelliGuitars Жыл бұрын
@@peterdavenport5882 yes of course, the chestnut hardwax is a little thinner than the Osmo hardwax but it works pretty much the same, which is to say if you rub it in and wipe it down right after application then you can’t go wrong. 3 or 4 coats is what I go for, 2 coats a day. The chestnut microcrystalline wax is what I use to get me to the level of shine I want. I think I stopped at 4 because that’s where I like it, you I apply it about 5 minutes apart. I find that buffing off the wax with paper towel gets the best results. Just let me know if you have any questions 👍

Stunning combination Gio.. The colors between those woods compliment each other so well. Definitely a top notch example for a production guitar from you. Everything flows so well. Offer this with several pickup choices and it should sell really well for you. The first thing that went thru my head when you changed the color settings (thank you once again for that) was I pictured for some strange reason @BradPaisley on stage playing that of all the guitar players that could have easily been my visual reference. I wouldn't change a thing on this one.

Thanks you Bill, I always look forward to hearing your thoughts. I’m really happy with the shape and I will definitely be making this a ‘standard’ design. Beautiful! I desperately need an instructional video on the body finishing process. It's gorgeous! Body shape is GREAT and I LOVE double bindings. My own personal preferences: I love the canary top back, but would like a darker core wood for contrast. Mahogany? Also, love the neck and carve, but would prefer a black fretboard, especially against the Canary top. Ebony? Richlite? As for electronics, Fishman Fluence humbuckers with lithium battery pack for me! (Best I've found for direct input for recording on a DAW.)
@TornelliGuitars
@TornelliGuitars 10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind comment, I will be doing a vid on this finish because I use it all the time. Yes there would have been lots of woods that work really well with the canary. I haven’t tried the fishman fluence systems yet, I’ll need to have a think about those!👍

She's beautiful Gio. The finish is something else, and yet again I've picked up another neat trick watching these videos - putting a riser block into the pickup cavity so you can apply finish to the back - genius! I have one question which may be a bit stalker-ish, however I noticed you have a Triton Jointer/Surface Planer on the shelf ... what's your thoughts on it?
@TornelliGuitars
@TornelliGuitars Жыл бұрын
Thanks Owen, I’m glad it helps my friend. The Triton was great after about an hour to set up perfectly straight. I think it’s perfect size for guitar building and I won’t be upgrading it which is probably the highest praise I can give. Also much better imho to have a dedicated surface planet rather than a combo thicknesser/planer due to the length of the table. Thanks for the support once again 👍
