Have you ever tried shaping the neck on a belt sander? I've watched videos of guys shaping necks in minutes using a belt sander or deadhead sander that fits between the volute and heel. They start by faceting the corners then quickly work into rounding.

Lucky 77th sub on Bench Critters! First its great to see you two back in action. Second congratulations on the official announcement of the partnership. Third I think both of these builds have been your best work to date. It is so hard to choose between the two for a favorite as they both have their own "space" in the market which is why I think this as a partnership is going to soar. Not only for your personalities that naturally pull people in or the super supportive spirit in both of you. Coming out of a bad period with Rona and the current fiscal night mare economy I think you will do well aiming at the top tier players / buyers since the low end is swamped in mass produced random copy cat businesses. What ever you end up doing I am right there with you guys waiting to learn and admire from the effort you both bring to the workbench.

It's good to finally see another video, Gio. Todd, that guitar looks gorgeous! Gio, your version is beautiful too (as are all the guitars you make). I used the same Gotoh bridge on my very first build and I have to say I love it! You shouldn't need to recess the bridge if you have the right neck-break angle for it and, ideally, a carved top.
@TornelliGuitars19 күн бұрын
@@bhartissimo Thanks Bart, yes I should have thought the bridge through a bit more carefully!👍
@SweetTGuitars16 күн бұрын
Thank you Bart. I did a break angle on the last guitar I used that bridge on and it does string way easier however. The issue was getting the strings to sit off the body at the height we like. We both decided to recess the bridge which solved that problem but introduced another! This is what we do😁!! You know the story brother! ✌️&💙

Wonderful to see you both back - genuinely so, and congrats and good luck with the new venture. Also great to have some reimagined LP closure 😂 I really don’t like Les Paul’s (and really dislike ToMs) but you’ve both done amazing things. (apologies Todd) but the understated elegance of Gios really tickles my tastes. Reminds me of a 125/295 and the late, great and woefully under the radar Geordie Walker. That top is lush.
