Angela, it’s so important to serve at church. We as Christians should always be in community. I understand the hurt, but we are all sinners. The church is an imperfect representation of our perfect Savior. And at church some people might disappoint you. But remember the disciples, we should serve together. Church is like a hospital and School you go when you are sick spiritually or physically and you learn to go out and preach the gospel and it is also a get together with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Not all 4 walls the house of God so yes I agree with Ang you got to find the one that you feel comfortable but at the same time feeling comfortable may not always be what God wants in our lives. EX: I can go to a liberal church that tells me its ok to go clubbing as long as I don't drink a lot or take drugs or its ok for a girl to go to a beach as long as she has shorts but never mind the guys with muscles and showing their bodies so that you can fall into sin. In mu case the girls with Brazilian bikinis that just lets your mind go to the gutter. Eitherway church is beneficial to the christian walk to get closer to God and be ready for the enemies attacks.

I think she’ll get there! I can relate to wanting to keep your faith specially preserved and undefiled, between you and God, in fear that others will “taint” or negatively influence your walk. However, The Lord tells us to fellowship and serve for good reasons and His command is not a suggestion!

That story about the “producer” is in accurate. It was a funder not a producer. The movie was crowdfunded by over 6000 regular people. Of course they could find something bad about one of them.
