I appreciate all the honesty. @15:55 A colostomy can be a real blessing and a real chance to live a carefree life. I have some experience with taking care for a colostomy of a relative (the relative is almost 90yo so can't do it by themself). It was shocking at first but after a month or so we all got used to it. Now taking care of the bag is more like changing a bandage: not my favorite thing, but not a big deal either. Especially when comparing to the situation from before the surgery, when the body was just randomly deciding "time to shit now". Good luck to you!

Dude, you have my sympathy. Having survived lung cancer twice, I'm somewhat familiar with what you're going through. I can identify with the chemo effects. One odd effect from mine is that it affected the nerves in the soles of my feet. It always feels like I'm walking on bubble wrap! As you've probably experienced by now, the disorienting effects on your thinking, and moods, will fade so you'll recover your normal patterns. It's about a week from your decision date in August, so, I hope the next phase goes well for you and you find a good place mentally, going forward. Orange Proud, eh? That's so cool. try using a portable toilet its size is like a bucket and its easy to clean if you get those one time use bags. we got one for my grandfather when he got old and couldn't hold it before reaching the toilet and he hated diapers so that was a very good solution but I have to warn you it gonna fill the room with the smell. hope you get better soon ❤❤
