Candi Staton Had A Very Long Career That Was Attracted To Very Abusive Men For The Most Part. I’m That Toward The End Of Her Career She Got Out Of them And She Had Abuse Drugs And Alcohol. I Really Didn’t Hear Of Her Until She Recorded, Young Hearts Run Free And After That, I Really Didn’t Hear Of Her Too Much After That. That Being Said, She Still Was A Phenomenal Artist A Little Rough Around The Edges Because Of Her Tumultuous Early Childhood And Young Adult Life ,Nevertheless, She Was The First Lady Of Southern Soul.
