I usually don’t comment on any video but I can’t stopping saying that mam you are from India our language is hindi over there. If somebody see you and realized that your Indian start talking to you in Hindi or Punjabi that doesn’t means they don’t have standards. Come on people standards are not judged by the languages but yes your manners do judge you. Anyways there are so called people who have standards and all that because of English. No offence to anybody

You got me all wrong Raman! I am a proud Indian and love my language. What I meant is people here are not following the basic rules of keeping the country clean. You should see what happens in Indian events & some Indian dominated cities here! I have personally seen some Indians trash the place, pass derogatory comments for females, drive cars rashly without thinking that they can get someone killed and a lot more. I have a problem with people who do that not with people who speak Hindi

Hello folks, enjoyed your conversation. Really wonderful. I am from Vancouver B.C. As you said that it's really hard to find good friends it is very true. But I am the kind of a person who would always be there if I become someone's friend. I did help a friend whom I had met when I was looking for a tutor for my daughter. Although he had to move to Eastern Canada, but he still says," Aap jaisa friend milna bahut mushkil hai." I was there for him any time he needed help from finding students for him for tutoring or even help him shampoo his carpet because he was on a limited income. The problem in Vancouver is that it is very difficult to find good educated people (no offense to anyone please but that is my personal experience). Most professionals move to the U.S. because in Canada very rarely people get a job in their field. At the moment I am living in India due to some problem(property matter). I have heard some genuine struggle stories in this forum. For a change, this is an interesting "struggle", struggle of a couple earning dual professional incomes. She is a full time salaried employee earning benefits for family and he is a contractor earning hourly wage by choice. Nothing wrong with it. In fact, kudos -- you are smartly optimizing it. Now it is a (mental) struggle indeed when he can't take a day off confidently. Sorry mate, I have no sympathy for this struggle. Some people got offended by her comments on relatively relaxed controls by Canadian immigration. People commented on her dress in retaliation. I would not go that far and don't encourage such comments. However she admitted this herself. She said that when crossing the border coming to the US, she has some unknown fear of custom authorities (because there are stricter controls in place) and going back Canadian authorities are not that strict so she is more relaxed. That sums up the story. You can't have your cake and eat it too! Credit must be given where it is due, however. A large number of US NRIs marry (spouse's) green card/citizenship or professional degree (earning potential). Despite having a Master's degree in US, she married a person and chose to go out of the US because he did not have US visa what-so-ever. That deserves credit. Off course that is a part of marital "adjustment". It does not qualify to be called a "struggle" but congratulations for marrying a person and not GC!

We absolutely agree with you and we respect our native country India as well as the 2 countries (USA & Canada) which have given us a lot of opportunities in life but as a responsible resident, it’s important we talk about all the good and bad of the country 😊
@jasminhabeeb Жыл бұрын
@@IshaandDeepak Hi, I agree too. But lately, we have seen this mentality of abusing the systems here. Look at the real estate bubble, auto insurance premiums. Canadians are the "Nice" people of the world. To original Canadians, what some of us immigrants do is unfathomable and they are for most part too nice and accommodating. It is sad to watch. Maybe it is only a cultural disconnect. This is a land of gentleness and politeness. I have no hard feelings against anybody. But sometimes people forget that when in Rome be like the Romans. And when in Canada, it only means "be nice and gentle" . Thats what makes Canada unique in the world, it is very sad to see this country lose its uniqueness slowly over my course of stay here. But again isn't that what happens to the "nice" people in today's world.?

@IshaandDeepak Жыл бұрын
No need for a derogatory comment. That was a mistake. I meant a week and that too some weeks only because not all weeks I had the jobs. If you heard the whole podcast, I corrected myself by saying I earned just enough to pay my bills (living with 3 girls in one bedroom) and pay my tuition. Also regarding the car, again, if you heard it properly I bought it after getting a full time job. Also I started at a well paid job as a Functional Analyst so I could very well afford a 65k car. Not sure what you do but a decent job in US let’s you buy a car worth that money!
@YashAgarwalTech Жыл бұрын

It was a very informative video. Went through the whole video. How do you think about Health Care between US and Canada? How about life safety (gun laws) between the 2 countries ?
@IshaandDeepak Жыл бұрын
That’s a million dollar question 😊. Let me break it down. Regarding the Health Care, it’s free(to say) in Canada but what people don’t know is that you also have to wait crazy hours if you go to an emergency, getting a family doctor is a nightmare! We have been in Canada for more than 3 years now and still haven’t been able to get a family doctor as they don’t take new patients. If you want to get a surgery done in Canada, you have to wait for years before it’s your turn. On the contrary in US, you have to pay to get a medical insurance BUT you don’t have to wait in crazy lines or suffer to get a specialist. Now about the gun violence, it’s absolutely try and scary when it comes to US, with God’s grace we have never been a victim of that but that doesn’t mean that we are not scared about it. It’s a very big issue in US, all you can do is to avoid crowded places or shady neighborhoods. I hope this gives you some insight🙂

@voraciousdownloader Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Hard to imagine a huge huge difference between Toronto and Florida salary the difference will be mainly because of currency conversion and then you save more with lower taxes but then you have to pay for medical insurance (employees pay for it many times as a deduction). I can imagine higher difference in places like NY or silicon Valley.

@pk9436 Жыл бұрын
It's not about money but opportunities. I have studied and worked in US and moved to Canada. I know people with master's and PhD who cannot find job in Canada. My friend recently moved back to US. His wife had PR and a PhD in biomedical engineering from a top university in US. For 2 years, she did not had a job in Canada despite having a PR. She became depressed and started looking back for jobs in US, and she landed in 2 offers who were willing to sponsor employment visa and all legal fees. Not everyone is of mindset "I just want to live in Canada, and I would do whatever job". For an ordinary person with any degree, driving Uber makes sense. But if you have studied say Mathemathics, or aerospace engineering for 10 years, worked in US for 10 years in same. It might not make sense to put that 2 decades of work in jeopardy. If you are okay with it, its different but if its shoved down your throat, better move to country where you can be happy.
