I just got mine and I love them. Skated today for the first time since I was 13 and I haven't been this happy in ages🤩🤩🤩🤩 I'm 41 now. I'm amazed how quickly I got the hang of it. I also ice skate and I never stopped doing that. So I know that skill helped me adapt to the roller skates faster. Happy skating 🤩🥰🥰🤩🤩🤩🤩

Hey girl! Great video! The wheels that come one these are for indoor so that explains your issue on the asphalt, you can purchase affordable hybrid wheels for both indoor and out door on Amazon. As far as the truck being plastic it isn't the safest on asphalt but with the right wheels it's fine. I hope that helps some.

They're advertised on Amazon as being for both inside AND outside so this is good to know!

I just got my Sabina Holos in the mail. I originally bought some Sure Grips, but they run super big and ultimately got some that were too big. I hate that I got the Sure Grips because I can definitely see a difference in quality. However, I don’t really know how to skate, so I’m sure that these Sabina’s will do fine. There’s a guy on here that reviewed the Sabina’s and said that they were for kids....around 100 lbs. I hope that’s not true becausssseeeeee ya’ girl is NOT 100lbs or anywhere near that. Anyway.... I’ll probably upgrade in a few months...

Are these good for outdoor skating?
@Cosmascorner4 жыл бұрын
I find that they can be good for outdoor skating but I had a better experience on smoother surfaces like smooth concrete as opposed to asphalt.
@wallfl0werrz5164 жыл бұрын
When looking for skates for outdoor the ones with metal trucks are better especially if your wanting to do tricks and jumps or ramps.

Candi girl has an outdoor version of this which i would recommend more. The candi girl carlin skates.
@MystiqueRisingSun4 жыл бұрын
The only thing "bad" about them for outdoor use are the wheels. With a 78A wheel, you'd do much better. The nylon plates are infused (with fiberglass - most nylon plates are these days) to make them much sturdier than a child's truly plastic plate. The Candi Girl Carlin line is their outdoor line. Still not the BEST wheels, but much better than the ones on the Sabina's. The Carlin's have an 82A wheel. So, they *could* be used indoors as well, but I wouldn't. It's not a durometer issue, (many skate up to an 88A indoor and out), but it's the fact that most wheels have nylon hubs and rocks can get stuck in those hubs....only to fall out on the rink floor. I've lost count of how many rocks I've tripped over at an indoor rink thanks to skaters using the same wheels indoors and out. If you want to do both, either get two pairs of skates (one for indoor, one for outdoor) or at the VERY least, get a second set of wheels.

No, I've had these skates for a while and I DO NOT recommend them! The boot is extremely stiff, and the bottom has barely any padding.

I need help to choose the size plz! I wear size 7 1/2 - 8 and there are only 3-4-5 sizes and idk which I should pick
@MystiqueRisingSun4 жыл бұрын
None! Candi Girls (and the crappy Impala's) are the only skates I know of that run true to size for women. Men should go one size down. There are plenty of other skates out there, though. The Chaya Ruby's are getting more and more popular as those are in stock at many smaller shops and online.
@MystiqueRisingSun4 жыл бұрын
@Cherry Bledsoe You mean whole sizes? And yes, I know. The joys of a less expensive skate is that they're all only available in whole sizes. That, unfortunately, is what you get with less expensive skates. For those who are a half size but can't afford the more expensive skates that come in half sizes, it all depends on the material. Vinyl will break in, but it WON'T stretch like suede or leather. You'd want to go up to the next size. If you're a 6 1/2, you'd get a 7...a 9 1/2, you'd want to go for a 10. Wear your normal socks - do NOT use 2 pair (it causes blisters) - and stuff the toes with lamb's wool if there's a bit too much room. Suede and leather will break in AND stretch, so you can go down. So, if you're a 6 1/2, get the 6...for a 9 1/2, you'd go with a 9. They WILL feel tight at first, but going up to the next full size means once they're broken in and stretched out a bit, your foot will slip around inside the skate (which will cause blisters).

I'm a 6.5 in vans and then I went to big five and tried on some skates that I saw over there and 5 fit perfectly for me. My 2 other sisters also tried them on (even tho their foot is a little bigger than mines) and it also fit them perfectly so idk it's kinda confusing lol
@MystiqueRisingSun4 жыл бұрын
@@xngiie3238 Vans shoe sizes are very different from skate sizes. Moxi is the only brand I know of that compares their skate sizes to Vans shoes. Generally speaking, skates are in men's sizes, so women need to go down 1-2 sizes. For the best fit, you need to measure your feet...middle of heel to the middle of your longest toe. Stand on a piece of paper and trace your foot..flip it over for the other foot. Measure a couple times (inches, centimeters, and in millimeter)- when you first get up, around mid-day, then again at night. Use the shortest measurement for suede or leather boots, the longest for vinyl boots. Your toes should *just* touch the inside of the toe box (skates OR shoes) for a proper fit, though few of us are "true to size" in that respect so a couple millimeters of space is normal.

Aww no other skate videos yet? I was anxious to see your progress...if you have continued to skate them these last 2 1/2 months. Hopefully with some softer wheels...it makes a LOT of difference having a larger, wider, 78A wheel versus the artistic ones those come with.

Each style (the Sabina and the Carlin) have 4 different color combinations. I LOVE all of the Carlin colors...already have 2 pair. Kind of? My daughter wears the same size I do. :) I got Royal Blue, she got Sea Foam, but once stores are stocked up again, I'm getting the Raspberry and the Periwinkle as well! I love the Carlin's that much...even though I already have 11 other pairs of skates, too - well, 10 but my Moxi Lolly's are on their way. If I had to get a Sabina, I'd definitely get this color combo, though!!

MystiqueRisingSun what skates would you recommend??
@MystiqueRisingSun4 жыл бұрын
@@prabhnoordhillon503 Honestly, that comes down to where you live. Not all companies supply their skates to all countries. As a general rule, I wouldn't pay less than $85 (U.S. dollars)...Google has a currency converter. I love Sure-Grip skates - pretty much any model, Riedell (again, almost any model), Roller Derby (they're the ones who make the Candi Girls), Vanilla, and the Epic Super Nitro or Epic Evolution. Sure-Grip, Riedell and Roller Derby all make both high and low top style skates. Vanilla's and the two Epic's are all speed skates. Do keep that in mind while looking. Beyond those, I've never tried others, but I have heard from many skaters that Edea, Crazy Skates, Bont, Antik, and Chaya's are all great brands as well. It really comes down to how much you can afford, too. Some skates, of course, are more than others. My youngest has had her $62 Epic Super Nitro's (they were on sale) for 3 years...including derby! They've held up well and are still her favorites. However, if you've got the cash, you could make a custom build on many skate sites for over $1,000! Figure out how much you can afford - don't forget pads and a helmet if you're planning on outdoor skating - and go from there in your search.

I've had these skates for a while and I DO NOT recommend them! The boot is extremely stiff, and the bottom has barely any padding. If you wanna do skating long term DO NOT BUY THESE! If your just looking into it then maybe but keep in mind they are EXTREMELY uncomfortable. (ALL of this is coming from someone who's had them for almost a year but never used them bc they were too uncomfortable. This is my personal experience, so I do not recommend these.)
