How do you keep your candle color consistent from batch to batch? The process I show you how to save the most MONEY as well as build for the future of your candle business.
I make a candle with Ukrainian flag colors in support of the evil in their country right now.
If you want to make this project here are the bits and pieces:
135 soy GB: 1/2 lb.
Vybar 260: 1 tsp.
Color blocks of your choosing.
8oz. Libbey glass
15 ply cotton wick x2

OMG, a black candle. In all my years of testing, I have gotten more than a few black candles from folks desperate. Black is the worst for clogging up a wick. Burning poorly, small flame that goes out, right? I designed a wick for black wax. Contact Fil-Tce, Inc. They make a 3.0 wick. Other than that, try to use as little color as possible.

thank you for these videos I have a question If you dont mind I have been testing my candles for months and am so confused What is an acceptable glass vessel temp when the candle is burning in 4 hour increments with wicks trimmed 1/4 inches everytime its tested I have been testing and Im just confused because some are saying 140 f and other are saying it shouldnt reach over 170 f this have been so confusing and I want to create a safe candle system but am not sure whats the right answer based on astm standards.Any help will be highly appreciated.

ASTM standard is 140F. That is the highest temp someone can grab something and not 'jerk and let go'. Any higher and someone will naturally let go, and spill the wax and it can catch fire. 140F will not burn you if you DO grab the candle. So, stay with 140F. You are doing everything right as far as testing. Trim and 4 hour. I have a testing video you can watch and I give all the standards required to get your candle in a big box store.
