great song written by Rob HILLIARD for the legendary TONY BENNETT in 1956 , his version will never be equalled by any other singer and certainly not Rock , ,

A song from a time long passed.Imagine crowds of young people heading down o connell street after a dance and hopping onto their bicycles before starting for home. They got more out of nights out because they had less, so why am I so jealous?

I think if Ireland would have had more really good song writers writing original top songs and it's top artists singing them rather than mostly US covers they would have made Ireland the capital of country music on the International stage!

Here is another way of looking at it. The showbands were entertainers. They seemed to perform better versions' of international hits. Well done to them for that.

They don't make them like him anymore. This is his theme song. It might be the song, he will be remembered for.
