The other day I found a random shiny loudred in omega ruby, then a couple days later I was using the dexnav to find a luxio with good IVs. After like 120 encounters I got a shiny luxio with 3 perfect IVs (i think HP, Sp. Atk, sp. Def) and intimidate ability. So I EV trained it and evolved it into shiny luxray

Tbh, I feel this. I didn't take 7 years for my target, but I went a year and a half, going unhealthy hard at the hunt, with almost the exact same story-- common on the route, but getting everything else, multiple times. When I took a break, I was in the same game, circling back to the same place to try again. 11 phases in the spot and more around town too, but during that time that pokemon was all I wanted. It's been a little hard to let myself phase since! Congratulations on your Sentret, I'm so glad you were finally able to claim it!

I found a shiny Geodude and a shiny Graveler about a day later way back when the newest of the main games were still gen 2. Wasn't even shiny hunting, was just trying to get a Skarmory for the Pokedex lol. Sadly failed both cause on the route them and Skarmory are wild in, those rocks all knew self-destruct. So yeah that sucked, plus abilities weren't a thing yet so it wasn't really preventable besides hypnosis/sleep powder and I didn't have my Butterfree on me or Hypno. The Abra line didn't get hypnosis I think? At least not as early as Drowzee and Hypno get it

I got my first shiny (without Action Replay 😁) when I first played Pokémon Moon and hunted for a shiny wimpod. I wanted a shiny golisopod to use against Guzma so badly, so I toughed it out day after day after day. Until one day, I was going out with my family and best friend to a hockey game and I was still soft resetting for that wimpod while we watched the game. And during a match, right there, after 30 days of who knows how many soft resets, it appeared to me. Finally, I was able to obtain the golisopod of my dreams and annihilate Guzma with him. And then, much later in my playthrough, lightning struck twice. I was playing the game in physiology class with a close friend watching and on my way to Team Skull's hideout, by some off chance I ventured through the tall grass as usual and what do I find jumping out at me? A shiny ariados, that's what. I got so excited because I was shiny hunting for anything and yet this shiny purple ariados jumps to me. Por supuesto, I caught it. All of the main games afterward have so far failed to compel me to play them. I have Ultra Sun, but it was too similar to Moon to encourage me to make it through Akala. However, for the next one that does, I will be ready to hunt for more shinnies that appeal to me. Even if it takes me half a year or so 😂

Weirdest dream I ever had was feeling like something was caught in my throat. I coughed/hacked it up like a cat, turned out to be a completely intact popcorn ball. Coughed up about five before waking up.

Sentret is the first shiny I ever found in a Pokemon game (apart from the red Gyarados of course) and is part of the reason why Furret is my favourite pokemon. It was cool to watch hunting for a shiny Sentret

I got one from the second cyndaquil egg I hatched while shiny hunting them. I'll admit it was on Pokémon moon so shiny odds are higher than earlier gen games and the shiny charm is super easy to get. I wish you luck in finding your shiny cyndaquil

I've never had that dream. I don't get most of the "common" dreams. Never fell, only flew twice and with wings and gravity as factors, I've been naked/in underwear several times but not in public. I don't know, maybe there's an extra screw loose in my brain.

More fun than being deep underwater in the dark without any oxygen and hearing a huge engine (submarine) coming closer and closer before coming out of the shadows and ramming me with all its mass. I freaking hate that recurring nightmare. Like I’m’not even scared of the deep, but this precise situation of encountering a huge moving man made object in an underwater environment somehow terrifies me.
