No Compromises. Most artists who attempt to play multiple parts do so by sacrificing elements which make the song sound incomplete. Not so here. Masterful.

Your playing is so full of life and spirit, and what's incredible in my opinion is that, even though you have tremendous technical abilities, your music never strays into that "look at what I can do" territory. You are one gifted musician, and I thank you for inspiring me, even though our styles are very different.

10.000 hours rule mate.. Just takes practice.
@shable14364 жыл бұрын
Practice guts out, but if you can come up with something different the 10k hour rule is complete bullshit, thats only for supposedly ppl who quote master an instrument, which you can only master a style, not an instrument, real players can learn from novices players by how they learn an adapt technics even from that, there is being a master musician and then being creative enough to bring new sounds, two complete different things
@MrJdsenior4 жыл бұрын
@@shable1436 Points taken, but the 10K hours is basically just a rule of thumb to gain GOOD proficiency at something or another, not just music but most everything. Mileage ALWAYS varies...some people can pick some things up quickly, and to a level someone else will NEVER attain, no matter how hard they try. Not disagreeing with you, really, just expanding, more or less. Two Set, the pro violin guys, have a vid where they look at self taught violinists (very difficult instrument, as rated by MANY pro musicians out there who play several) where they are amazed at the level some are playing at after only two years. And you can definitely master more than one style. I can show you many many examples if you don't believe me. There are pianists I know of that have mastered virtually EVERY at least main stream style of music, classical, jazz, boogey woogey, stride, etc. Jonny May is an excellent example of one, and will actually take most any piece and arrange them in many various styles, he also does those sessions all the time where someone calls out basically any song from the audience and he will play some ridiculously complicated version of it from memory. Like I said, there are super star talents out there. You can see many many videos he has on YT to demonstrate this. You can also definitely master more than one instrument, if you don't believe that give some of Jacob Collier's videos a look. Has (I think) 4 Grammys at well under 30 for pieces he arranged, performed, edited, IN HIS BEDROOM. Amazing individual. Pro level (high, in some cases) on something like four instrument FAMILIES, and likely plays a bunch more, if I had to guess (piano, bass, drums, guitar...and about every version available in those families). He has also developed an instrument with a fellow at MIT that allows him to sing a note, which gets sampled real time then played on all the notes depressed at that time on a keyboard. He has basically rewritten a good portion of music theory, and for grins he once transposed a key in a piece from G to G HALF sharp in four notes (in and back to G, actually), and it is virtually seamless. I don't care if most people practiced 20000 hours, they would not REMOTELY accomplish that. And he has so-called perfect pitch, he can out of the blue sing pretty much any scale you ask, including his super hyper meta mega Lydian, or whatever he calls it, and they put tuned pianos against it, sounds spot on to me. And that is a skill you CANNOT learn as an adult, period. If you don't believe that, go look at Rick Beato's vid on the subject. He tells why, and gives many arguments that support it 100%....NO exceptions, so far, or like he says, there'd be a class in EVERY music college called 'perfect pitch', and there isn't one, in ANY of them. Cheers.

TheBuryboy618 Born in Blackpool, Gomm began learning the ukulele at the age of two and took up formal classical guitar lessons aged six. His style features prominent percussive sounds, which are created by tapping, striking and hitting the guitar to create snare and bongo-like sounds, as well as harmonics to expand the tonal range of his compositions and detuning of his strings while playing to create yet more harmonic interest.

@@kimberleymckay5949 You're fucking dumb if you associate those silly thumbs down clicks with actual assessments of the video content.

Too bad I missed you in Canada. You should be in a movie where this alien on another planet decides to learn guitar and does all these unconventional moves because he was never taught regular, earth-like guitar playing. He finds out later how people on earth generally play guitar and tries it but can't do it. His instructor on the planet tells him he is hopeless. But it doesn't stop him and he blissfully soars away with his unearthly moves...

Hi, I love your self-description. Are you seriously like tht? Well, let's start talking if you are really so... I will try to find a word to define myself. Happy to know that there is somebody in the world so... "light". Nice to meet you.

You're making all of the other guitar players of the world look (and sound) like garbage (124 of them already are pissed or something). I'd feel bad, if you weren't an alien, so I'm okay. And those that look (and sound) like garbage, don't give up. After all, it's called a trash can, not a trash can't.
