It's interesting to see the KZbin experts criticize the cop here. In reality, she showed up in 15 minutes for a lost dog. A big Malinois jumped at her face the moment she arrived. She knew the area well enough to find the owner of the dog without any tags or scans in less than an hour. I don't see how she could have done this call any better.
@Indy_rawr Жыл бұрын
Yeh that was a very reasonable thing to say by her, if a dog has a tendency to jump at people they really should not be off leash in public, that’s just a recipe for disaster
@us3r66 Жыл бұрын
She did a whole lot better than cops usually do with dogs. Seen so many cops shoot loose/lost dogs
@doodoo66 Жыл бұрын
Buddy you could post a video of a cop bringing back a man's wallet he lost to his house along with some extra money from the fellas at the precinct to help the man through the holidays and KZbin people will comment on how the police shouldn't be wasting tax dollars doing that while "people are being murdered".

I think you just solved so many problems for me. I'm a first time (GSD) dog owner and my dog does a lot of that insistent sniffing and I was thinking the only reason he was getting other dogs at the park wanting to bite him was that he was in tact... I had no idea that sniffing was a prelude to humping & a way to test the waters. I tried to read and watch KZbin dog videos to learn about dogs when I got him, but this video was more helpful than most of the videos I've seen. Thank you for detailing how dogs interact when meeting other dogs.

This is my first time comming across this type of video that breaks down the body language. I understand cats quite well and they are very descriptive in their body language, they tell you so much with every inch of their body if you know what are you looking at. 😂 that cop shows up to get a lost dog after you’ve been handling the lost GSD and 3 of your own dogs and her first words are “um, that dog needs to be on a leash” My first words would’ve been “you’re fucking joking right”
@evasraley2109 Жыл бұрын
Yes because the dog was off leash the right thing to do was to have the dog sit while the office approach. Not allow him to go to her no matter how nice he was. So yes she need to let her know bad manners. No leash have control of your dog.

Nice GSD. I actually carry a spare leash in my bag when I go on walks. I’ve “rescued” 6 dogs over the years. My dogs are female and non reactive so lost dogs tend to feel comfortable enough to approach. All were “escaped” pets so the owners were very happy to get them back safe and sound.

Not because he does anything to make them, he is just so big. Absolutely brilliant that the owner was found, I was worried he was going to get stuck in some nasty kennel. Well done on knowing the signs on how your dogs feeling at each point. I wish I could be as confident with my boy. Had my Dutch for 8 yrs , if he sees another dog his hackels go up BUT your spot on with its because he's unsure and insecure of what's happening. We have a Rotti who goes for mine every time we see it. Which in turn makes him insecure with other dogs.

More people really need to learn these behavioral traits in their dogs!
