@sportschi688I get that we're 9-1 and in the third year of a rebuild, but that loss to Georgia Tech was unacceptable. They ran a high school offense, and we still struggled defensively. Fans have every right to be frustrated. Our defense is playing poorly, and that falls on both the players and the coaching staff. We have high expectations for this team, and we need to see improvement-patience only goes so far when the results aren't matching the talent we have.

@nmdcanes We can't stop the run, we can't stop the pass, we can't tackle, what have they been doing this summer! All Guidry does at these Monday press conferences is smile and say, "we won!" The Miami media needs to ask tough questions of him and Mario Cristobal. At the very least, Guidry's play-calling duties should be stripped and given to Jason Taylor. Additionally, a former Hurricanes safety should be brought in to coach the safeties, as Guidry is not effectively coaching them either!

The loss is something to learn from, if no changes are made with the calls from the coordinators on both sides of the ball. There is no imagination in the run game, and defensively there are so many deficiencies. Guidry needs to simplify the game plan, and have the line play more aggressively.

I’m not happy about the loss, but that was 9 games in a row of offensive production. We haven’t seen that in a long time. The biggest knock I think is they should have been working guys into games earlier into the season. I’ve been wondering when a guy like Bobby Williams, who has been wreaking havoc on special teams, and so has Robbie, going to get a chance to play. He finally got in yesterday. What I like about Bobby and Robbie is they have a killer switch. I see it in their hustle. We haven’t had a heat seeking missile in a long time. We need guys to turn that F/U switch on and whoop the guys on the other side of the line. And make them second guess if they should be on the field. The last guy we had with that kind of play and mentality was Kellen. That man was whooping on people every play. I remember that block he put on those Tennessee guys. Game was 7-9 or something and you could tell it meant something to him. Idk, I’m rambling, but these guys need to wake up.

I'm good with winning the ACC. I'm mad losing to a 5-4 team but I was worried about going to the ACC championship against a week schedule with shakey wins even though we won by 20 and then have SMU blow the doors off of us in the title game. I don't have confidence we can win a playoff game. I like the 4 team playoff better idea. Win the ACC and win a bowl game being in the top 10 kinda way. If we stayed number 4 in the 12 team race. Our road is rough. It's mostly because of our defense. We beat no ranked teams. Our season is a bust with no ACC title and somehow still getting in the playoffs IMO.

I knew we would lose this game earlier in the week. I circled this game at the beginning of the season. The team looked uninspired, didn’t look like they wanted to be there and there wasn’t any sense of urgency. To many 3 and outs on the offense. Cam didn’t look good. Defense goes without saying but but I will say the defense gave you a chance to win it and you blew it. This goes to coaching and being prepared. The slow starts gotta stop. We have to come out the gate balls to the wall and for Christ sake stop playing down to your opponent’s. GT didn’t do anything special, those boys just played hard nose football and straight up beat us.

Grant-without Cam Ward next year, Miami is an 8-4 football team in a weak ACC conference. They should be minimum 10-2 every year. Mario never blows out average conference teams even though he has the far superior roster. Mario, Shannon Dawson & Lance Guidry got taken to school by GEORGIA TECH. I have nothing good to say about the Miami regime right now. I just hope they do learn and improve from here.
