Canik may be one of the most underrated line of pistols on the market today. The triggers are fantastic on these guns. I've got this exact same model an love it. The only problem with Canik currently is that there are ZERO mags available for it and haven't been for months.

Looks like they are starting to get a few 18 round canik mags you can order from fleet farm. The tp9 mags are universal along the tp9 models, at least as far as the sc.

Picked up my 3rd SC a few weeks back. This one has the Burnt Bronze upper & they replaced the phosphorus white dot FS with a fiber optic rod ( green, red or amber). I use the Romeo Zero on all my SC's. Ive been using the SC as my EDC & Competition gun for over 1 1/2 years & with over 7000 rounds thru the 3 of them, I have not had any issues. These gun just run. Quality, Durability, Dependability & price, Caniks are hard to beat.

I bought one. The spring was super stiff and very hard to rack. Canik sent me a looser spring. I took it to the range 1st time. Failed to feed on the very first magazine on the 4th rd out of 15, using stiff spring. Switched to looser spring every other magazine to see which I preferred. Shot 100 rds and had a couple more minor issues. Slide failed to come all the way forward once about a couple centimeters, I noticed it before pulling trigger so I just pushed slide forward. And 1 failure to eject last shell with the slide not locking open but closing and catching the shell. I don't know which spring I had in during the last 2 issues but I figure it was the loose spring cuz it sounds like loose spring issues. Just wondering if it sounds like breakin issues. Other then that it ran the 100 rds good.

@@alfredsukeloff7183 Sorry, I've never had any of those issues on any of my 11 Caniks, nor have I had a break-in period. I got my last SC on a Thursday, shot & won an IDPA match, 3 days later on that Sunday. I generally shoot 115 FMJ in my SC. I would reach out to Canik or Century Arms again. A buddy had an issue with 147 gr, in his SFX & Canik send a looser spring & he's been fine for the last 3000 rounds. I wish I had better news for you. Canik does have good customer service.

l could care less what moniker is given to the Canik subcompact. lt has a better factory trigger than any S&W or Glock I've ever owned. Plus it is just as concealable as any firearm I've carried for the last twenty-plus years and I still can't believe it only cost me 360 dollars when l bought it a year ago.

I agree it's has a great trigger. Much better than my Walther P99 which I bought in 2006. But my Glock 30 (.45ACP) also has a very sensitive trigger. The "wall" is an interesting subject. But my Canik has a better trigger than my Walther P99, for sure. I also have an H&K with an awesome trigger pull. But the Glock 30 scares me. I can pull the trigger at the ranger and have a second "double pull" because of the way I'm not an expert and the way the Glock 30 trigger is so sensitive. It's worth taking your handguns out to the range in a berm with nobody near you so you can experiment and get used to all of your weapons. At least after you have had sufficient training from an instructor of course. IMHO

I shot the TP9 Elite SC and its big brother, the SFX last weekend at the range. I put them up against a S&W Shield EZ, an M&P 2.0 , a new S&W CSX, a Sig Sauer P365 X Magnum and a Glock 48. The Caniks out shot all the others hands-down. The trigers on the Caniks are awesome. Of course, the SFX shot flatter than the others, but the SC wasn’t far behind. My paperwork is underway, so can take home a Canik TP9 Elite SC of my own.

In 2020 when i purchased my 1st gun he handed me the Glock G45 and said this IS the most popular gun out there and it felt good in my hand .... Then i asked do you have anything with more "color" or something with style or something that looks more cosmetically cool other than solid boring black ... He handed me the Canik TP9 SFX full size and my eyes 😳 .... I was like now that is a good looking gun. And it felt good in my hand so i also got that one. I am waiting for them to call me on the signature series whiteout then i will look into this one as well. I really like the TP9 SFX but it IS a big gun ...

A few months before you shot this video, I purchased my first pistol, and it's the Canik TP9 Elite w/ tungsten finish. I f*cking love this gun! I'm glad I did not go down the Glock route. In the process of learning to shoot with both eyes open, while I wear progressive glasses, mind you, it's a challenge to see the sights on my pistol. I have have a set of tritium sights to place on this gun, soon. Nevertheless, I want to purchase this SC model this year. It will become my carry pistol. I will also place a Holoson EPS Carry MRS optic on it, since it is milled and designed to do so. I want to be sure my sighting is "dead on" when firing that round. Thanks for the great review of this pistol!

Really wanna try the mc9 and see if i just like the size of the tp9 sc cause im used to it, but none the less pleased with my purchase. I also wanna say that free holster is helpful for us noobies. One because we get to try something without soending money, 2 because it gives you a quick idea on "yes i like this style im getting something similar." Or "no i hate this holster i wont get this style of holster. " either way that education on what you like or dislike is very helpful.

@@v.german11b I love my Sig p365XL with +2Magguts 14+1 for EDC compared to any other gun I got including my Elite. It's not a full size gun and there's a price you pay the smaller a gun is. Had me right up until you said a high quality holster and quoted Alienwear and Crossbreed. Agree to disagree i guess. There are many many better holsters out there. Those are pretty mediocre IMO. The Enigma system, Harry's Holsters, Vedder, and Bravo Concealment IWB would be better quality builds in general, but the issue with Caniks, is that not everyone makes a holster for it, matter of fact, not many people ever replace the factory holster, so there aren't many companies that stock them. There is a subreddit for Canik, and they have a handful of sources for holsters and accessories. I would suggest doing whatever modifications you are going to do regarding optic, light, mag release, etc, and then having one made from a source they've already vetted at r/canik. Cheers.

The grip length is with the flat plate. The width of this gun? No, not at all, it is a very wide gun. If you don't like a wide throat on a pistol, it's not for you. It's as wide as a Glock 19. The part right up under the beavertail area, where it would be. It's wide. All the TP9 series are. They aren't single stacks, they're bigger guns. It does appendix about as well as a Glock 26 does. It might even shoot better. I know it's blasphemy, but it's a shooter. I'm not trading out my elite combat or glock 19 for it, but I'll get one eventually. Too good a gun for the money (not even to mention all the free accessories in the box) to pass it up. Would you rather have a Taurus Toro? Shoot them and then decide. That's what it costs, and it's a deal, but a subcompact?....only at Canik is this an SC lol.

Canik……the Glock killer. Sorry Glock fans. Just my opinion. And this is coming from a guy who has 4 Glocks and got my first one, a Glock 21 .45 acp (that I still have) in 1992. I recently bought a Canik TP9 Elite Combat, and my wife has this one the TP9 Elite SC. They are both stellar weapons! And the price can’t be beat considering what you would pay for the bigger name brands with the features and shoot-ability of Canik’s. I still have my Glocks. But they are spending more time in their holsters and cases lately.

I’ve heard a lot of problems about Canik, but I’ve never actually heard them from the person. Only “my buddy had X problem with his Canik” type stuff. That being said, I have the Mete SFT, and it’s above and beyond the most accurate pistol I’ve owned and still extremely reliable. This is in comparison to $300, $500, $600, and $800 pistols. In my experience, Glock isn’t the name to beat, at least as far as gun for price. It’s Canik.

Does your wife carry it? I’m thinking about buying this tomorrow as my EDC. I’m a female about 120 pounds. Trying to decide if this a good choice for my EDC.
