Fenella Fielding at the top of her game here. No one else comes close to playing these female character types as well as Fenella simply because she invented this type of comedic performance. A genius & very much missed x

When I was a lad, Fenella spent some time hanging out in our house while she was working rep locally. If you think she's attractive on the screen, you should have seen her in person. Absolutely luminous, and the sexiest voice in human history. Made quite an impression, I can tell you...

I agree 100%. She was just so sexy in a cheeky way. I would love to have met her. How lucky were you?! 😃

The magic of the English sense of humour is it`s innocence and light heartedness and today political correctness want`s to take it all away!.
@EnglishMike10 ай бұрын
Innocence? Have you never heard of _double entendres?_ And how does political correctness take any of that away. The jokes are much more raunchy now the Mary Whitehouse's influence is over. Or do you miss the racist jokes from the 70s?

Why do you doubt the year?

Looks a bit older, 1979, maybe? Could have been a typo...

@@22Phantasm By 1979, the duo had moved to Thames Television. I've checked the DVD and this sketch does come from the Christmas 1969 show.
