Saw this movie as a young kid. When I saw the end credits roll and CC were credited, I said out loud "HOLY SHIT THAT'S A REAL BAND!?!" Next day I asked my dad to buy TOTM. He came home with the censored version of it on tape. It was fucking awesome. I played DOOM on Sega 32x with that tape just playing over and over again in the background. Drinking OK soda.... Jeez what better times those were.

It never ceases to amaze me the things you find on youtube. This is great stuff, a moment captured in time. I liked the first part of the video where it shows them driving through Miami and going to the gig. The person who shot this must have been one of their roadies The band claim Jim Carey was a fan, but the death metal guy who married his daughter said that was the first thing he asked him...and .Jim said he never heard of the band before the movie Why does the band lie about this?
@godetonter47642 жыл бұрын
Because Jim Carey asked them if they were going to play Rancid Amputation, and some other songs the average person never heard of. Jimmy was on Arsenio Hall doing a perfect impression of Napalm Death. He originally wanted Napalm Death for the movie. The real question is what is Jimmy embarrassed about? He may have just been ashamed of liking Death Metal in the past, because he probably looks at the genre as being pretty silly, now that he's a lot older

Well, if you read interviews they do, they describe themselves as a "splatter" horror film in music (excessively and almost comically gory). Quite honestly, they are all incredibly talented musicians. Just because you don't like it does not make it bad.

sorry, slipknot are what introduced me to metal, and if you look at the metal scene over the past 10-15 years, theyve been one of the most original bands out there. you mentioned the 90s, im guessing you meant the extreme metal scene. pretty much every member of slipknot apart from clown was in a death metal or thrash band at some point of the 90s. they just decided to do something original and not sound like the millions of bands out there.

You just called Slipknot uninnovative. First of all that isn't a word, second they were the most innovative band that came out of that shitty time period when they emerged. And true metalheads are open to everything, whereas you seem to be afraid of anything that isn't "oldschool" or "true".
