I would say it's closer to Anti-Christian, however it also has to do with Norwegian history. From what i understand, a lot of invading Christian ethnic groups persecuted the natives of Norway that practiced Pagan traditions, so I'm guessing that's why a lot of the themes of Black Metal are rooted from Paganism.

i hate those fuckin black metal bands that are serious about satanism. i saw an interview with a black metal singer and the only words he said were "satan". but in death metal they write about this stuff so people can see how brutal and inhumane and sickening this stuff really is.

yea my friend plays bass in a black metal band shes pretty good and i go to alot of her shows. i focus more on the instrumental than the lyrics. i just dont like when the musicians only care about satan and burn churches or do other poser shit. and yes...death metal=chucknorris nothing left to say
