I always peel my peaches and then jar them up and waterbath. Rada knives are in fact the best! You were very easy to understand Thank you

You are very welcome! It's hard to believe we'll be doing them again in a few short months!

When I do the blanching, I’ll let them sit in the boiling water for one minute exactly and then put them in the ice cold water. However, I’ve seen if you peel them, you can use the peelings to make jelly. And by the way, I love seeing someone else using a Rada knife! Those are the best knives around. Thank you so much for making the video I’ll be saving that so I can refer back to it.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment! The Rada knives are one of my favorites for paring and slicing! You are very correct about using the peels to make jelly. I have done that before, but I actually used all the scraps. It made a beautiful and delicious jelly. Maybe, I can do that again for a video next summer! 😁😊 I hope to see you here again! Be blessed! ❤️

So glad to see someone just peel the peaches. I tried the hot water method too and it did not work for me at all. Next time I will definitely just peel them!

Oh, yes! I have peeled them for years. They peel so quickly and easily, especially if the peaches are fully ripe, it's just not worth it to me to go to all the extra trouble to do it the other way. I actually learned and peeled with a vegetable peeler (one with the blade on the side, not at the tip of the peeler) for a couple years. Now, it's just as easy with a knife. Thank you for stopping by to chat for a minute! Good luck with your next peaches!

I think you should try putting your peaches in hot boiling water for one minute instead of 30 seconds, then into a ice water bath to keep them from cooking, the skins rub off so easy! You are wasting a lot of the peach by using a knife to remove the skin and it takes far longer to do it.

Thank you. I prefer not having all those extra steps and mess. With enough practice and skill, very little peach is cut away or wasted, especially when the skins are used to make jelly. I always tell people to do what works best for you, though.

I am working on peaches again as I type. I currently have enough peels and puts sitting to make two batches of jelly. I didn't need to make it again until this year. I can't wait to make it! I'm glad to see you already know the value of making it all count! 🥰
