Cannot Link YouTube Account To Steam Account - How To Add YouTube Videos To Steam

Adding videos a second time: Simply copy the URL again and do it in a separate Brower window. For some reason if it doesn't work for you, you can't add new videos without doing the same thing again.

the only way currently for it to work is to try to link your channel at 00:00 pacific time (you have a window of around 5 minutes) that's completely stupid but it works

Bingo that did it for me. I'm almost certain this is a "modern authentication" or 2-FA challenge failure that triggers that effect. Moving it into a fully featured browser (rather than the trimmed-down functionality of the Steam browser) is what gets around it. Thanks for the vid chap!

Depends on the topic of the video but for my early stuff and stuff that is time dependent... meaning if I do not get it out fast then someone else will and I won't get any views... for those videos I just either made sure I had alot of knowledge on the topic or I go the complete opposite and learn with the viewer.. asking the question I know other people would also think, but then cutting to me solving it instead of showing the 30 minutes of random stuff I tried to figure it out hahaha. As for editing the videos itself... I will give a few tips that make it extremely simple. Firstly, make sure your audio is half decent. Whether you watch a video or 2 on that or just spend some time in the settings or filters (right click your mic in obs or streamlabs) section trying different things and working out background noise and your own voice spike. Once you figure out your audio it's time to lower the volume of whatever game you are playing. I keep it much lower than my voice. This is useful for 2 reasons: it allows people to focus on what you are saying easier and it also makes it alot easier to edit. When you view an MP4 file (how videos are saved) in your editing software you will see the visual and audio separately. When you look at the audio section you will "wave forms". These wave forms are the level of audio at each point throughout a recorded video. With the game being much lower than your audio it allows you to see exactly when you start and stop speaking... so you can cut (edit) the video easier. Another thing I do for audio to make it easier to edit is a "1,2,3" count every single time before I start talking about. This provides a visual break in the wave forms making it clear this is a new section. Other than that I just cut up the video making sure I delete any parts where I repeat myself or go on long tangents about other stuff. For these quick style videos I am aiming to talking about a very specific topic, so when I start giving to much extra info (even though that extra info is 100% useful) I cut it out and remember this video is targeting a very specific topic... and I can make another short directed video for the extra info if I feel it's important enough. For long form videos it's different. I learn everything I can and make the most detailed script possible... usually like 2000-4000 words ish... then I read it again and again to polish it and edit it down. This to make sure I am providing a high amount of detail but using the least amount of words possible. These in depth guides usually end up being around 9-15 minutes long. After the script is down I record the of me reading the script.. making use to use mu count downs from earlier. When editing this make sure the audio is as condensed as possible... I cut out passes, stumbles and every time I breath to make it flow perfectly. For the visual portion I listen back to the video and spot eveytime a visual pops into my head to match what I am talking about. I pause the audio, go and record the visual or pull a visual file I already had from it being useful in a previous recording (I save all of my raw visual files in very detailed folders to save myself future work and build out a video library)... I add in all the visuals to make the length of time I talk about each subject in the audio... and when that is finished I watch it back a few times... see if I think something is out of place... if it is I replace it.. watch back that portion and then.... the video is complete ahaha The scripted videos take several hours to make... but I am of course much more proud of them then a simple video of me walking through something and learning with people that gets 100x the views. Might be more detail then you wanted or this might be less hahah in any case I hope this helps and perhaps I will make a video explaining this at some point in the future! It didn't work for me unfortunately. I had to sign in again to Steam (I was already signed in) after opening that second page. I did see the list of videos listed in the second Chrome page but when I went back to the original Steam menu, no videos are there.

The problem is that it gives me this message and I have no idea what's wrong. "There were no videos found in your KZbin collection to choose from. You are only able to add KZbin videos that are public visibility, allow embedding, and that show up in a username search for your username. If you just now set a video to public in order to link your account, it may take some time for KZbin to index and it to show up in search results." My videos are public, allowed embedding (whatever that means), a lot of time passed since I uploaded them and my Steam account is the same name as my KZbin Channel.

If you still haven't got it to work, there is a button near top right of the browser that says sign in, just sign into your steam, I promise the button will appear after you do that.
