My home park (sort of). While Blackpool Pleasure Beach doesn't have the best coaster collection, this video is a reminder that this park has a fantastic lineup of classic rides you rarely find. Wallace and Gromit is my favourite dark ride here (if excluding Valhalla)

Agree with you,they just about have the worst coaster line up,its embarrassing.I live in Blackpool and I never visit the place.Most of the coasters are old and they need to get shut of them.Thorpe park has better selection.

Pleasure beach is my home park, I absolutely love it. While it might not offer the coaster selection of towers it make up for it with it's dark rides! I love icon and Valhalla. Loved seeing national so high, one of my favorite coasters 🤩!

The Big One's first drop reminds me a lot of Phantom's Revenge lift hill drop (also an old Arrow drop) at Kennywood.

Big One's drop looks sort of similar, but it rides way differently. It has airtime and more violent laterals.

Oh my, I know people said Ice Blast wasn't forceful any more but that video at 1:02 really shows you how it is. It used to be MUCH more powerful and I've not been on it in years. The park are doing something with it right now, I hope it gets restored to its former glory.

I have told this story many times, but I won £5 for my drawing of The Big One in the year it opened in my local horticultural show. I was 7 and beat lots of adults.

I always wanted to go to Blackpool. I was told that the town is like England's version of MTV's Jersey Shore, but more hick-ish with their passion for pro wrestling. You hit this one on the head with the Kennywood comparison.

@@CanobieCoaster Yes. Feathers McGraw is back, it’s on Christmas Day here and then 3rd January on Netflix worldwide. I hope you had time to get to the bench of them outside Preston Market (Nick Park’s home town). If not it’s really easy to get to from Blackpool and has Wallace in techno trousers and Gromit reading the paper. The new man doing Wallace’s voice is almost perfect to Peter Sallis’ (original one) too.

My Ranking of the major coasters/ (to me) important other attractions 1. Valhalla 2. Grand National 3. The Big One 4. Big Dipper 5. Revolution 6. Avalanche 7. Nickelodeon Streak 8. Icon (yes really, the pacing is just not for me) 9. Steeple Chase 10. Wallace and Grommit The top 5 are pretty much elite to me (maby elite fun😅) and Avalanche is by far my favoutite Mack Bob so yeah, i really enjoy this lineup

Did you ever get to ride their incredible wooden wild mouse before they removed it? It had the most unique layout of any wooden mouse in the world, it was a literal one of a kind. I feel so lucky I got to experience it many years back.

Sadly I did not. My first visit was in 2017 when they had already closed it without announcing it would never reopen.

@@CanobieCoaster It had zero trims and was so wild, shame you missed it. The closest you'll get is the Sydney one when it reopens but the Blackpool one was special.

I call Blackpool my home park because it's the closest decent theme park to me. Rollercoaster enthusiast born in Scotland! Pretty much all we have to offer is M&Ds which is less theme park, more pile of rust in a parking lot. 😑

How does Enso compare with The Ride to Happiness? I don’t have a zillion credits but TRTH is tied as my favourite coaster in the world, with Arie Force One. I was born in Blackpool and my mum’s still there. Should I spend the £15 up charge for Enso? Problem: my 10-year-old has been on TRTH many times but he’s too short for Enso. He’s also likely to lose his **** next time we visit when he discovers he’s now too short to ride Grand National, yet first rode it aged 6

That's unfortunate he lost the ability to ride Grand National aftet the heigh requirement was raised. I recommend trying Enso if you love Ride to Happiness.

Hey Canobie i keep forgetting to ask this but I am going to both Universal parks in Florida for two days with my band and i am just asking how should i plan my day? We are going to be there 9am to 10pm first day and 10am to 8:30pm for the second day. I am just asking you if you know a good way to plan my days to ride as much coasters as i can.
