Lake Winnepesaukah (aka Lake Winnie) is an old-fashioned amusement park in Rossville, Georgia. This park has some classic attractions including the rare Boat Chute and Cannon Ball wood coaster. And this has been supplemented with some thrilling modern flats. This makes the park well-worth adding onto a trip, and I'll explain why in this review.

This is my new home park and it's cute. It sort of has a low budget Knoebels vibe. You mentioned the idea of combined park trips. If you happen to be someone like me who loves theme parks but also loves aquariums then this area is one of the best in the country. You can visit the Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg and then visit Dollywood on a separate day. Then coming through the Chattanooga area you can visit Lake Winnie and the Tennessee Aquarium, which is genuinely one of the best aquariums in America. Then you head down to Atlanta and visit Over Georgia and Fun Spot and then spend a separate day at what is undoubtedly the best aquarium in North America: the Georgia Aquarium. If you like animals in general you could also add on the zoos in Knoxville, Chattanooga and Atlanta (especially for the pandas.) The only place that can rival this area for animals and theme parks combined would probably be the Orlando and Tampa corridor and southern California.

That's a fair point about stuff beyond theme parks too!

Anyone who follows this plan and swings through downtown Atlanta could also take advantage of the CityPass. This allows you to experience the Georgia Aquarium or the Atlanta Zoo (you have to pick one), combined with tickets for other attractions like the World of Coca-Cola, the CNN Center, or the Center for Civil and Human Rights. Also, while the World of Coke doesn't have rides per se, it does include a 3D theater with some simulator-like effects.

Only been here once but we had a good time. Got several rides in on cannonball, wacky factory, and the other rides with little to no wait, and spent a couple of hours in the water park. Its a fun little park.

Nice to see this park get some love. It’s actually the closest park to me, and even though I go to Dollywood a lot more, this park still has a neat little charm to it. Also, good job on pronouncing the name correctly this time 😂

Conestoga looks amazing. I have never seen a Huss Rainbow with the flying carpet seating position. I can imagine! I am bummed I skipped this park now, I could have called ahead to see if the Rainbow was in operation that day. Oh well.

I haven't been here yet. Same issues, that I'm only in the area during times of the year that they're closed. I need to find a way to get out there at some point. I do enjoy these old school parks. I like how you're able to appreciate these smaller places in addition to the high-budget monster parks.

Canobie Coaster would say: Wild mouse coasters are perfect rides for families. They consist of hairpin turns on the first half and dips and turns on the second half. The turns offer laterals that toss riders sideways, but usually the forces are...

I first attended this park 70 years ago with my first cousins who lived in Trion. It wasn't nearly as large then, but for a four year old it matched anything I had ever been to. I hope it will be there another 100 years, but I suspect a corporate park company will eventually buy it out making it more like Six Flags.

I would really love to see you review Lakeside in Denver. I know there isn’t as much incentive to go there with Cyclone SBNO, but if it reopens in the next year or two I get the impression that you’d make a great review. I went there this year without Cyclone and still had a great time.

I was telling you about how enthusiasts and families get rides on wild mouse coasters for the forces and laterals in this video, that is because of a wild mouse coaster that was removed and relocated. Why was that? Many families found the laterals on that coaster too violent and they could cause pain.

I would love to see a Eurofighter over the entrance similar to Gatekeeper. The family coaster gap can easily be solved by lowering the height requirement for Cannonball to 42” similar to GASM.
