Thanks for the video. It looked great. Being from Canada and so close to NY, the Adirondacks are on my bucket list, so this video was quite helpful.

Hey David. Good to hear from you. I hope the Pickle is treating you well. You'll love the Adirondacks.

Worth noting that a lean-to must be shared with other groups, up to a maximum capacity of typically 8 people. My group has had a lean-to to ourselves a few times, but nearly as often we have shared it with others.

you are correct Tom. When I was writing the script I hemmed and hawed about adding that point... among many other things. In an effort to not get to deep into the weeds with rules (as there are many)... it didn't make the cut. But it is the one thing in hindsight I should've noted. Thanks for reaching out.

Thanks Tom. On my canoe trips I've come across quite a few doozies (illegal fires at put-ins, garbage in fire pits, live trees cut down, etc)... so I am hoping this video helps educate people... and helps everyone have a better experience.

Thank you for making this PSA! Seems like this should be shown in all of the Canadian provincial parks from the canoe camping videos i watch from there. The KZbinrs who film themselves are obviously up on their LNT always but a lotta times they get to campsites that were used by non LNTers. Great stuff here! Are you still making vids? Take care.

Hey thanks. I figured if my videos were encouraging people to get out in nature it was only right that I help them do it responsibly... and safely. There are so many great Canadian canoeing youtube channels. Their rules, especially when it comes to firewood, is much more liberal than here in the Adirondacks... a big difference is being able to use standing dead vs our fallen dead only. As for making videos... this year turned out busier than expected as Barb and I finally found land we loved took ownership this Spring. So for the most part we had to use most of our free time to work on our property... which includes rehabbing an old barn. The good news is the property borders the Saint Regis Canoe area. So while this year was a bit of a sacrifice... next paddling season should be very exciting. I appreciate you following along. Happy Thanksgiving.

Hey I enjoy your channel. I have asked you this question before, the dry bag that you have used is one which you had said was around forever. I don’t remember the make or model but I am more interested in a dry bag vs a dry pack. Let me know what you think. Thanks again.
@CanoeCampClimb
@CanoeCampClimb 4 ай бұрын
Thank you. The dry pack is the 110L NRS Bill's Bag. For dry bags (or dry sacks as some say)... I just go with what I can find on sale between proven brands "Sea to Summit", "NRS", and "Osprey". Most of mine are Sea to Summit though.

The Florida Hot Springs are amazing. 2 I can highly recommend include the Emerald Cut of Rock Springs Run in Opopka, Florida.... and Silver Springs State park. I haven't been to Rainbow Springs but that is high on my list of places to paddle in the future. I've also paddled the St Johns River out of Blue Springs State Park if you want slightly bigger water. Keep me posted on what you end up paddling. @@MrCabinboy11

Thanks Craig. Work is well under way. They have signage up directing paddlers to the access... via Horseshoe Lake outlet. A tough route most wouldn't enjoy. Hey Chance. Thanks for watching. The bug question just missed the cut... that and my favorite fishing holes :-) The bugs have been particularly nasty this year with all the rain and humidity.
