@@theH2experience yeah i have looked at Sawyer paddles and the freefall is an awesome looking paddle. IDK what to try next, I'm using a bending branches expedition plus paddle right now and its been great I just want a more aggressive paddle but everyone I paddle around mainly kayaks so nothing to borrow or try out yet. Can't decide if i want or need the spooned shape blade and I'd also like to stay with the wood look as wel.

@@theH2experience I'm in northwestern SC area so not close to ya at all.. We are planning a raft trip next season to go try the Gauley.. I'll be taking my canoe jic I have a brave moment lol.. but I've been looking at the sawyer paddles the freefall, canyon x, and the ranger x. Not sure about the "modern tear drop shape" canoe paddles tho..
