Wow, amazing views! Lake Superior is one of those lakes you can be wind bound for days. Glad you made it safely.

Thanks Darren! This is one of the most scenic lakes we have traveled! Yes, it's very important to be aware of safety while on such a big lake. On this trip we tucked away on the White River for a day to avoid the worst of the wind and waves.

Very nice trip report, and wow, what great fishing! My wife and I ran the Pukaskwa River this past May, then paddled back to Hattie Cove. It looks like you had more wind than we did! We got stuck in English Fishery Harbour for a day. I regret not stopping to explore Pukaskwa Depot. We did explore the old logging camp at Lafleur's Dam, but there wasn't much left, just depressions in the ground from the cabins.

Thanks @gunnelgrabber! The fishing was excellent anywhere we tried. The worst wind of our trip was when we tucked into the white river for 3 days. In hindsight, it would have been interesting to see how big the waves got, but it was nice to not be stranded as well. The Pukaskwa depot was interesting, we looked around for an hour or 2. Mostly what you described, old house depressions, old wood stoves, pots, timber, I have heard there is a cemetery somewhere as well too

Fabulous video! Nicely shot - you got decent weather, for the most part :) Superior can certainly be unpredictable, and pretty dicey in spots. You did well to manage with only little downtime. Looking forward to more videos!

Thanks Jay and Sheri! I would say we lucked out with the weather on this trip. We just traveled at the pace the lake let us :) more videos coming soon, I just need to buckle down and schedule some editing time. Ps I'm enjoying watching through your steel river trip! R

@@gonecampingagain That's the best pace you can travel, for sure! We hear you with regard to scheduling editing time...we're in a similar situation with a backlog of footage and little time to edit. Here's to many more adventures! Cheers!

Nice video, like how you don't spend alot of time on any one thing. Got to your channel from Kevin's post. You should do a trip on the north shore, so much to see. I live on the south shore and know the lake well, number one rule, the lake makes all the calls.

@@donalddakota8069 thanks Donald, glad you enjoyed! The lake making the calls for travel is key for staying safe. We will be heading back for another trip on Lake Superior, it's such a beautiful lake!
