I live this lens. I have owned mine since 2012, I have the M that I got in 2012 too. I have had the M3,6 and 6ii the M stayed I switched to Fujifilm for my main camera for stills now. The fujifilm 18mm f2 is this small too and technically the 23mm on the x100 is too. Both cost a lot more and there is no fujifilm package this small.

I have this lens and I would say its really good for just about anybody. Canon refurbished website sold it to me for $149 about 3 months ago.

Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 II is another pancake lens (for Micro Four Thirds, though). I have both the Panasonic and Canon lenses and can say that the Panasonic has slower AF speed but is a bit sharper than the Canon lens...not that the Canon is bad by any means.

Cool... I had this lens, but because of the lack of stabilization I sold it (with profit), but maybe I'll give that combo another chance some time. I wonder, did you give up on the Android / MCPRO24FPS app combo? I think you wanted to experiment and compare it to some other cameras... I thought the footage you took with those clip on lenses looked fantastic and since the phone has pretty good IBIS, it could be a strong contender for cheap cinematic videos!? :)

I got the TTArtisan 24mm f/1.4 manual focus lens for my EOS-M. I have heard that this 22mm f/2 is pretty good. The prices should fall more this year (2024). I might get one.

It was resolve stabilisation. That footage was just at a family getaway where I want to careful. Normally resolve does a great job!
